Choose to follow Jesus, get to know God, and believe what He says about you. 2. What truth can you learn about yourself from the Bible verse and the point? I am loved by God. 3. What are some things God does that show He loves you? Answers will vary. 4. Do you ever feel like no one loves you? What makes you feel that way? Answers will vary. 5. During the activity, what did you think when you saw God loves you instead of being mad at you? Answers will vary. 1. Introduce yourself, and welcome new kids by name. 2. Kids share what happened during the past week. 3. Check up on past week’s prayer requests and events. 4. Discuss the welcome question: Who loves you the most? Small Group Activity You’ll Need Sins List Activity Supplement (1 per group) Paper Person Activity Sheet (1 per kid) Black light pens (1 per group) Markers (1 set per group) To Do Say: God loves us, but He hates sin and wrong choices. Let’s see what happens to God’s love for us when we sin. 1. Give each kid a Paper Person Activity Sheet. Say: Write your name on this person and decorate it. Leave room around the blank line for a secret message! 2. One kid gives their paper to you and shares a sin or reads one from the Sins List Activity Supplement. 3. Pretend to write the sin, but instead write, “God loves you,” on the blank line and give the paper back. 4. Repeat steps 2-4 for all the kids in your group. 5. Pass around the black light pen so kids can shine the black light on the message and read it. Say: None of those sins could ever make God stop loving you! His love is so big you can’t get away from it! 6. If time allows, kids continue decorating their paper. Choose questions to ask during the activity. 1. Small Group Activity

You’ll Need • Star-shaped stress ball (1 per group)

To Do Say: Sometimes you might feel like you don’t really matter, but the truth is God knows you by name, and He made a way for you to get to know Him. We are famous because God knows us and never forgets us. Now let’s see how many names you can remember. 1. Hold the star and say the phrase, “God knows,”

followed by your name. 2. Toss the star the kid next to you. 3. Help the kid say the phrase, “God knows,” followed by

their name and your name. 4. Continue tossing the star around the group with each

kid saying the phrase, “God knows,” followed by their name and all the previously mentioned names.

5. If time allows, play again, but start over each time a kid misses a name.

Choose questions to ask during the activity. 1. Is it more important to you to be famous to God or

famous to people? Answers will vary. 2. What do you think God knows about you? Answers

will vary.

Choose an action step question.

1. God knows you and wants you to know Him! What do you think you can do this week to get to know Him better? Answers will vary.

2. If you feel like you don’t matter anymore, what do you think you can do to remind yourself you’re famous to God? Answers will vary.

Pray together.

1. Ask kids to share things they’d like to pray about. 2. Write down their prayer requests. 3. Pray together over the prayer requests. Not sure what to pray? Small Group Activity

You’ll Need • Truth or Trash Activity Sheet (1 per kid) • Brown paper sack (1 per kid) • Scissors (1 per kid) • Markers (1 set per group) To Do 1. Give each kid a Truth or Trash activity sheet and a

brown paper sack. 2. Kids write their names on their brown paper sacks. 3. Kids cut the cards along the dotted lines and put the

cards into their bag. Explain: If the card is a truth to keep in your heart, say “truth” and hold your hands over your heart. If it’s a lie, say “trash” and pretend to throw it far away. 4. Use one kid’s bag to pick a card and read it out loud. 5. Kids answer. 6. Read the back of the card out loud to find the correct

answer and learn God’s truth. 7. Repeat steps 4-6 for all the cards in the bag. 8. If time allows, kids play the game again with partners.

5. How does God know what you need better than you do? God made you and knows your future.

You’ll Need • Coins Activity Sheet (1 per kid) • Labels (1 per kid) • Fish bag (1 per kid) • Scissors (1 set per group) • Markers (1 set per group)

To Do Say: When we follow Jesus, we are rich because of God’s glorious riches! That doesn’t mean we have more toys, money, or nice things. It means God always gives us what we really need. Let’s see how rich we are! 1. Give each kid a Coins Activity Sheet, a label, and a

fish bag. 2. Kids write their name on the label and stick it to their

bag. 3. Kids cut out the coins and put them inside their bags. 4. Kids find their blank coin and write another blessing

God has given to them on it. 5. If time allows, kids look up the Bible verses on each

coin in the Bible.

Choose questions to ask during the activity. 1. Which blessing from God do you need the most

right now? Answers will vary. 2. How important do you think money is? Answers

will vary.
