How Jesus defines what a disciple does: “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19 NAS
_______ ―Follow Me‖—involves a head level change - a disciple knows Christ and makes a decision to follow Him.
_______ ―And I will make you‖—involves a heart level change - a disciple is being changed by Christ.
_______ ―Fishers of men‖—involves a hands level change - a disciple is committed to the mission of Christ.
Reflect on your life as a disciple… For each exercise, place an ―X‖ above the description that best describes you right now. (Remember, we are just starting this journey and will help one another as we grow.)
1. ―Follow me‖—Am I someone who follows Jesus?
2. ―And I will make you‖—Is Jesus changing me?
3. ―Fishers of men‖—At what level is my commitment to the mission of Jesus?
