We must note the manner in which the subject of LAILA-TU-QADR

was introduced in this Surah came only after Allah s.w.t. reminds us

to behold AL-QUR’AN that was being revealed.

It is AL-QUR’AN that was emphasised, as the proof of NUBUWWAT

of our Prophet Muhammad s.a.a.w; the book and the standing

miracle (MU’JIZAT) that is preserved and still available for every one

without having to search for it. The Book of Guidance for Muslims.

Whereas the reference to it being revealed in LAILA-TUL-QADR only

added to its already esteemed position. Rather than speculating in

seeking for the night, Muslim must not be distracted from what is

already available (AL-QUR’AN) - regarding our obligation to recite,

studied, reflected and its teachings heeded and applied.

Lest we forget, the month of Ramadhan indeed was the month in

which the Qur’an was sent down.
