True ID was founded by Dean McBain. It began just days after September 11th, 2001. On the 19th of September, McBain filed a patent containing a solution for preventing hijacking of aircraft. One solution is fusion of biometrics and physiological sensing devices that continuously monitor the condition of the pilot(s).
