Sohan Lal Commodity Management Pvt. Ltd.(SLCM), a Delhibased agrilogistics company,has signed an official agreement with YomaBank, one of the leading private banks inMyanmar, for Collateral Financing. Through thisinitiative, SLCM would provide comprehensiveagricommodity Warehouse Management,Procurement, Logistics and financial solutionssupport to farmers, processors, traders,agriculture exchanges, exporters and importersacross Myanmar.
Yoma Bank will offer farmers to pledge 60% oftheir commodities, stored at SLCM’swarehouses, for a certain period at an interestrate of 13% p.a. SLCM is the first warehousingcompany from India to provide the samescientific and financial support to agrieconomies of ASEAN countries.
Commenting on the agreement, SandeepSabharwal, Group CEO, SLCM said, “We havereplicated our best practices & expertise in theagriculture warehousing domain in Myanmar."
Other dignitaries present in the ceremony wereSunil Seth, Country Head, Tata International,Moe Myint Kyaw Secretary General ofUMFCCI, Myanmar, Industry Leaders, GrainTraders & various Bankers.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Seth, Country Head Tata International commented, “This is the rightstep taken by SLCM Ltd. for further development of infrastructure and economy of Myanmar.”
