Sky Dragon - Refreshing (Poetry)

Refreshing Refresh yourself, please, With the glory o’ the morning sun As it glistens in the dew, And the leaves of the trees Appear gilded by an unknown hand More beautiful than any craft of man, Refresh yourself, please. Refresh yourself, please, In the showers that fall So gently on the parched earth; When the torrents appease And in the silence is heard The lonely cry of a bird Calling heaven to witness earth’s ease. Refresh yourself, please In the night, in the dark, In the lone cool hours of sleep. Be the watcher who sees The wondrous blanket of stars Stretching across endless horizons; Drink deep of the moonlight which frees. Refresh yourself, please, With the warm wind of summer As it blows, soft through your hair, Light as the breeze Which ruffles the leaves, Freed from the cobwebs which bind, Let your mind find its ease.
