In this report, we would like to showcase andanalyze data, such as size, capacity, and density ofclose to 6,500 coworking spaces around theworld, which have shared their data withCoworker. Over the last year, we've noticed a trend in thegrowing sizes of coworking spaces, making thisdata all the more important to understandingcontinental space distribution, countries andcities leading the race for larger coworkingspaces, and investment opportunities in theindustry relative to specific countries around theworld. Based on the displayed data, here are the most important takeawaysthat can be drawn from this report


The global average capacity per coworking space was 83people.The global average size (sq. ft.) per coworking space was 7,308sq. ft.Asia was the continent with the highest average capacity of114, compared to spaces in South America that held the lowestaverage capacity of 54 people.China ranks as the country with the largest capacity, at 282people on average per space.North America has the largest spaces in the world, with anaverage size 9,799 sq. ft. per space, followed by Asia at 8,101sq. ft. per space.Larger spaces in the world tend to be in North America and Asiawhere construction is new. Smaller spaces are more commonlyfound in Europe and South America.China is the country with the largest spaces in the world, withan average size of 27,077 sq. ft.Medellin is home to the spaces with the most space for itsmembers, at an average of 264 sq. ft. per person.The range in density (sq. ft. per person) was between 16 and264 sq. ft., with a global space average of 78 sq. ft. per person.

CONCLUSIONS


Globally we are seeing a trend towards larger spaces.Larger spaces are proving to be more profitable whileproviding customers with more amenities and creative

space. In order to stay competitive, we are seeing spacesexpand their own space, move to larger premises nearby,

and open up additional locations under their brand. This notonly meets the demand for shared office space, but also

gives members the flexibility to access new amenities andalternate between locations.
