The Designer
The Retailer
David Tutera, provided by Bliss Bridal Boutique
Sara Stanford’s childhood love affair with bridal gowns would only strengthen over the years, but it wasn’t until her own engagement materialised that she decided to become a wedding gown retailer. After being grossly ‘underwhelmed’ by the locally available selections, she was encouraged by her mother to “do better”, so she sold her business and Bliss Bridal Boutique was born in 2011.
As an entrepreneur of over a decade with no formal training in fashion or prior experience in the wedding industry, her expertise is fuelled by “pure, unadulterated love” for wedding gowns, and a drive to create the experience she sought and failed to find for other brides-to-be. She plans to turn her business into an empire, citing Lori Burns-Allen and Monte Durham of the TV show Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta as her idols.
“At Bliss Bridal, we are the only authorised dealer in the island of all the designers we carry, which ensures that our customers are guaranteed the best quality at all times. I listen keenly to the feedback from my brides, then I personally hand-pick each dress we carry in the store according to their needs and desires.
I always tell my brides to keep an open mind, try everything, and to never judge a dress on the rack. I love meeting and connecting with beautiful women at one of the happiest times in their lives,” she tells Fluff Magazine.

make-up:Au naturel by Loni Jones Make-up
Often referred to as ‘make-up artist to the stars’, Loni Jones has been in the industry for almost 10 years and has earned her place as the ‘go-to’ person for bridal make-up application. While studying fine arts (painting) at the Edna Manley College, she would model in commercial photo and video shoots and through this medium was exposed to make-up artistry. On realising she was more drawn to make-up than interested in being a commercial talent, she started practising at home and took small jobs assisting other artists before branching out on her own after a few months. Loni believes that her work ethic and attention to detail have facilitated her steady climb to the top and continues to land her gigs with some of the biggest names in beauty, fashion and entertainment. Her absolute joy, however, is working with brides, bringing their ideas to fruition and creating looks that are timeless, natural and elegant.

The Hairstylist: Lisa Hutchinson
A sophisticated chignon by Lisa’s Full Service Salon
A starry eyed Lisa Hutchinson fell in love with hair styling at eight-years-old when she would accompany her mum to the salon on Saturday
mornings. Even then, she knew it was her destiny and would later jump at the chance to study the discipline at Dudley’s University
in North Carolina. On returning home, she interned with hair guru Melody Aarons at Chic Lines and has since been practising for over 13
years, even copping three Jamaica Observer awards for excellence in her field.
Lisa enjoys interacting with her brides and taking them on a transformational journey,
telling Fluff Magazine, “Waking up every morning to do what I love has been the
ultimate blessing”. She is passionate about working with brides, explaining that “the most
important thing is what the bride wants... everything else is secondary.”

About the DesignerImmersing himself in the business of fashion was perhaps inevitable for Dexter Huxtable as the son
of a tailor. At an early age he taught himself how to sew on his visits to the shop, seeking counsel from
his father when needed. On becoming 18, he made a decision to seriously pursue the career and took on opportunities to travel to Europe and work in various
tailoring studios in England and France. Propelled by dreams of his own design house, he invested
most of his earnings from these stints and moved to Philadelphia where he started his own business.
After enjoying success abroad, he moved back home to Jamaica where he continues to build his
Spokes Apparel brand. Dexter is a perfectionist with an acute ‘fashion eye’ and the requisite skills
to flawlessly execute his ideas. He credits his successes to his ability to translate elements of his clients’ personalities into the wedding looks he creates and having a supportive family, and
feels most satisfied when he spots people wearing Spokes Apparel on his travels abroad.

The Décor... à la Pussbackfoot
On the wedding stylist:
Aiesha Panton is the mastermind behind Pussbackfoot event styling and execution
- a name derived from the Jamaican patios expression “dressed to pussbackfoot” -
which is the English equivalent of “dressed to the nines”.
As the name suggests, her company prides itself on creating glamorous looks
for the ultimate ‘wow’ factor and employs a collaborative, six-sense approach to
wedding décor. For Pussbackfoot, there is “no fantasy too grand... no detail too small” to breathe life into the wedding experience.

TheLocaleThe Admiral Great House
Steeped in history harking back to a time when Port Royal was dubbed ‘the wickedest city of the world’, to the days when the sugar cane and
coffee plantations reigned supreme, Admiral Mountain Guest House
certainly has a compelling story.

About The LocationIt was originally built in 1774 by Admiral Peter and Lady Parker, became home to Admiral Horatio Nelson in 1780 when he recuperated there following an expedition, and was later used as the home of all British admirals stationed in the West Indies. Nelson, arguably the most popular of all, penned many letters from his scenic Cooper’s Hill abode and there is an on-site museum in his honour today to accentuate the Great House’s historic appeal. There’s also the lush greenery, immaculate gardens and exquisite architecture. Add to that the perfectly poised courtyard and sweeping cityscape views which make for a truly unforgettable wedding experience.

Jamaica. Her clean, romantic photography style has found favour with many, including Sandals Resorts with whom she is a destination wedding photographer. Her work has also been featured in such noted publications as The Washington Post and The Philadelphia Enquirer among others. Well-known in the industry for her patience, dedication and humility, Tiffany continues to nurture her passion with each click and joined the Fluff Magazine team to actualise the vision of an all-Jamaican; image-driven wedding publication aimed at highlighting the nation’s finest.
GRAPHIC DESIGNER, ILLUSTRATOR AND CO-FOUNDER OF FLUFF MAGAZINE
Neil has been quietly earning his stripes as a graphic design professional for over a decade, executing projects for a number of corporate clients in Jamaica, Florida and the Caribbean. He strongly believes the Jamaican wedding industry needs a boon that can only be achieved by exhibiting our greatest talents. He now combines his expertise in visual communication, design and marketing with the talents of his teammates to produce I Do Fluff magazine.
PAPERIE CREATOR, GRAPHIC ARTIST AND FOUNDER, TOPP IN DESIGNZ LTD.
Self-taught paperie designer and Fluff Magazine co-founder Sheri-Ann Toppin stumbled into her profession in 2009 and has never looked back since. Her inability to source unique pieces for her own wedding locally led her to create everything herself, and the rest, as they say, is history. Her company Topp In Designz Ltd is two-time winner of the Wedding Wire Bride’s Choice Award (2012 & 2013), proving Sheri is quite passionate about her craft. She believes Jamaica is replete with hidden treasures and unrecognised talents that can combine to create a world-class wedding experience for everyone, and relishes in the opportunity to display it.
PHOTOGRAPHER AND FOUNDER, DESTINATION WEDDINGS JAMAICA
Tiffany fell in love with the camera at age 14, enrolled at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale two years later and shot her first wedding by age 19. Now 27, she has amassed an impressive catalogue of well over 250 commercial clients and over 70 weddings across
