    Corporate Identity Standards

    Dear Reader:

This document contains the visual projection of the SimWitty Corporate Identity. These identity as-

sets are not created from whim. They are designed to exude SimWittys internal and external corevalues as revealed during research. This document will aid in understanding what the SimWitty

Corporate Identity is and how to utilize it in your communications.

    Sincerely,

    Michael Galligan

Logo ClearanceThe SimWitty Signature placement is important. Objects that are placed toonear may disrupt the core values exuded by the carefully constructed SimWittyCorporate Identity. Therefore clearance space must be maintained when anycomponent of the SimWitty Signature is in use. There are two clearance stan-dards dictated by size.

Sizes greater than 1/2 must utilize a minimum of a 20% clearance basedon height of logo in use. The Optional Colorbar is exempt from this rule.

Sizes 1/2 or less must use a minimum of a 10% clearance based on heightof logo in use. The Optional Colorbar is exempt from this rule.

The SimWitty Signature may be used in conjunction with the green Optional Col-orbar.

The Optional Colorbar should be solid without a stroke. If used with full SimWitty Wordmark it should be the thickness of the W. See

example 1 below. If used with partial Sim Wordmark it should be half as thick as the negative

space in one half of the letter m. See example 2 below. The Optional Colorbar may be either as tall as the entire page or the exact

height of the Signature components in use.

    WHAT IS SIMWITTY?

    WHAT IS A SIM?

A Security Information Management (Sim) system is a tool for identi-fying and alerting on abnormal events. A Sim collects informationabout an environments state and flow. That is, it correlates comput-ers event logs with network traffic in a single database. The data isthen analyzed, correlated, and reported on. The benefit to the Info-Sec professional is in identifying unusual and potentially maliciousbehavior, while keeping an entire trail for further investigation.

SimWitty is an open source Sim. Written in C# for .Net Framework3.0 and available under the BSD license, SimWitty is a flexible frame-work for monitoring networks.

The SimWitty communitys foundation is a spirit of collaboration andmentorship. Whether you are a new C# coder or a seasoned InfoSecpro, we have projects and resources for you. For us, it is as muchabout developing people as it is aboutdeveloping software.
