Materials Needed: One copy of block template per student (black and white outline or color) Crayons, pencils, or markers if using the black and white outline template Scissors Tape Directions: Have kids color the template, if desired. 1. 2. Cut out the template along the dark, solid outer lines. Young children may need help with this. 3. Flip the box over so that the pictures are facing down. Fold the tabs up, as shown. 4. Fold the box template up along the dotted lines, as shown. Fold on all dotted lines, always folding upward. 5. Your box should now look like this. 6. Tape the box together into a cube, placing tape along the edges of the box. Keep the tabs on the inside of the box. 7. You will need to fold the top of the box down in the final step and tape all three edges. 8. All done! Encourage kids to tell the stories as they play with the boxes.
