Kids Bible Study – Parents Guide

Kids Bible Study Service is offered to Grade 2 – Grade 8 kids.

✞ Kids Bible Study is a three year bible curriculum that studies the bible from the Genesis to Revelation.

The vision of the service is to study the whole bible as one big story talking about God’s Love and Salvation.

✞ The goal of Kids Bible Study service is to get kids in the habit of reading the bible every day and to receive

the spiritual food to live a Christian life.

✞ Originally the Kids Bible Study service is an in-person class service at church from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm,

however, due to COVID-19 circumstances the service is now virtual using ZOOM online app. The service

starts at 12:30 pm – 1:15 pm to allow enough time for parents and children who attend the Liturgy on

Saturday to reach home and get ready for the online Kids Bible Study service.

✞ Please make sure you complete the registration form to provide us with your up to date contact information.

An email address is needed to communicate important messages to you.

✞ For the online method you will need to provide your child with a device to join the online video meeting (it

can be a smart phone, ipad or laptop). Please indicate on the registration from the cell phone number or

method of connecting to the device your child will be using.

✞ Kids Bible Study service is cancelled on long weekends and during Kids Conventions. The admin team will

send you an email beforehand as a reminder.

✞ Kids Bible Study service provide each child upon enrolment with a tot bag with a bible, a binder to keep the

weekly homework sheet, monthly reading sheet and a passport to put points attained. Rewards are given

according to the points collected. Points are obtained on attendance, verse memorizing, bringing the bible

to the class and completing the homework. Please make sure that kids are taking good care of their bibles

and treating the holy books in respect. The Bible is supposed to stay with the kid for his lifetime and not to

be replaced by church every year.

✞ Kids Bible Study does not recommend kids who have cell phones to read the bible on the phone’s Bible

application. We encourage the children to use the paper copy of the Bible they were provided.

✞ This is a free service funded by our church SMSJ. If you wish to donate to the service, please pay directly to

SMSJ or contact Fadi Kolta at 647-968-0269. Donations are used towards the purchase of supplies for the

service.
