Arambagh Lions Club

Location of Arambagh Eye Hospital

• Lions club of Arambagh established in 1981 and Lions Hospital established in 1986 .

Approval of SIGHT FIRST GRANT in 2004 . 1st installment of grant received in September 2005 . Upgradation completed in December

2005 .

• The club is situated at the junction of four districts Hooghly , Burdwan , Bankura and

Midnapur. Existing infrastructure capacity for cataract operation available within 100 K.M.

Radius.

Action Plan

• We are trying our best to increase the volume of operation but still lagging far behind our target. To

overcome this we gave emphasis on more and more outreach camps and for this we need our own

ambulance for which we are looking forward for our second installment of approved grant which is under process. Hope we will get it very soon. We are also

hopeful for getting grant for FECO arrangement in our next grant .
