Shomrei is a place where Torah is literally studied day and night throughout the year, and it is a worthy substitute to remind us of Har Senai. It should therefore come as no surprise that, just as the Torah study continues daily from 5:30AM until late at night, the expenses necessary to sustain our own Har Senai are also continuous. To that end, the Board has been making a concerted effort to contact members with outstanding account balances in an effort to bring those accounts current. If your account balance is not current, please be responsive when a Board member calls or, better yet, call the office and make arrangements to bring your account current. We accept credit cards over the phone or, for your convenience, you can log on to your account, check your balance, and make a payment all with a few clicks of the mouse. Every year we appeal to parents to please know where their children are on Shavuos night. If your children are walking around outside or from Shul to Shul, please impress upon them that people are sleeping and that they should remain quiet and respectful as they walk through the neighborhoods. Please also speak to your children regarding being safe and responsible both in Shul or when walking around the neighborhood. We have great programming planned for both children and adults, and I encourage you to take advantage of the wonderful Shiurim that we have scheduled. Finally, I encourage everyone to join us at the annual Shul Kiddush which will take place after the 9:00 minyan on the last day of Shavuos. This is a nice way to join together and wish Mazel Tov to all of this year’s graduates. Rochel joins me in wishing you a Good Shabbos and Yom Tov. President’s Message:

We are all aware of the Minhag to install flowers and greenery in Shuls for Shavuos in order to remind us that Har Senai was surrounded by greenery at the time of Kabalas HaTorah.

Mazel Tov to all those who completed the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch over the past year.

The new Kitzur schedule is now posted on the shul website.

Now is a great time to join and finish the Kitzur by next year Shavuos.

The members of Rabbi Sklare’s weekday morning shiur bid a sad farewell to our wonderful teacher. We will continue our learning in his absence, Tuesday through Thursday at 7 :50am in the Shomrei Board Room, starting Tuesday, June 11. We will be studying the Book of Mishlei, led by Ruth Shane.

We will be here, ready to learn with him, whenever Rabbi Sklare’s schedule changes to allow his return.
