These two ultra-modern office buildings stand proud on one of Doha’s main commercial avenues, the C-Ring Road. Their straight, angular, clean lines reflect all that is functional yet elegant. GCC-CIGRE was established under the umbrella of the Gulf Cooperation Council, in Kuwait on 22nd April, 1985. One of the organization's main aims is to facilitate and develop the exchange of knowledge and information, between engineering personnel and technical specialists in all GCC Countries. Its Doha-based headquarters is instrumental in achieving its ambitious agenda and SEC has been entrusted to develop them.

SEC was selected to undertake the development of the headquarters of this important joint GCC project following an extensive and grueling tendering process.

This perspective designed by the prestigious Arab Engineering Bureau shows the proposed CIGRE headquarters, at the extensive Barwa Commercial District, West Bay, Doha, State of Qatar.

The retail sector plays a very essential role in most people’s lives, and Al Meera Consumer Society is a main caretaker in Qatar. In 2008, SEC developed another Doha landmark, an 8 storey beautiful building on Old Airport Rd., offering a mix of hospitality suites and hotel services.

As a “home away from home,” SEC succeeded in developing the design’s Islamic architectural elements to create an appealing exterior and an inviting interior.

Our team of engineers and builders managed to execute a concoction of marble tiling and sable sand colors with the dark cosmopolitan lined glass windows, which granted the building a majestic look, bridging the gap between tradition and authenticity on one hand and modernity on the other.

Crossing the Old Airport Road on the way to Doha’s commercial and banking hub at Grand Hamad St., this impressive building is an eye-catcher!
