The Need for Government Transparency
I started out with these questions…
•Did the financial crisis and the events leading up to it increase the
need for government transparency, oversight and citizen participation?
•How do social media websites like www.govloop.com or
www.challenge.gov facilitate or speed this transformation?
I arrived at this conclusion…
•The NEED has always been there; the convergence of technology and
society’s knowledge base had to occur.
•Thus allowing for social media sites like GovLoop.com, Challenge.gov
or even wikileaks.com to be created to allow citizens to connect WITH
government and each other to co-create value FOR the people.
