Dave Borget, father of current owners Richard and Rod Borget, worked for the Singer Sewing Machine company prior to working for BERNINA. Dave Borget’s father in-law Archie Brown recruited Dave into the sewing machine business several years earlier with the Singer Sewing machine company. Dave Borget really believed that Singer Sewing ma- chines represented high quality workmanship. Dave was shocked when Grandpa Brown brought him a new BERNINA Sewing machine and suggested he switch to the BER- NINA company. After some coaxing, Dave made the switch and opened what is now Dave’s BERNINA on Center Street in Provo. The original Bernina store was one block down from where it is now. The store moved in the late 60’s to 268 West Center, and Dave eventually purchased that building. Dave always loved to help people and even went door to door selling and servicing sew- ing machines. As long as I can remember, my dad Dave Borget has alway tried to treat people fairly, give fast, friendly service, provide a great extended warranty, and offer fabulous classes and training. We are proud of the work our dad put into Dave’s BERNINA, and we aim to maintain the same quality products and service for years to come. We are excited to celebrate 53 years of Daves Bernina in downtown Provo. Richard & Rod Borget Dave’s BERNINA Purchase any new BERNINA Embroidery Machine and receive 53 SPOOLS OF THREAD FREE! Sewing is a great way to learn how to be creative, express yourself, solve problems, learn to follow direc-tions, and much more. Kids ages 8 - 18 are invited to participate in Camp Sew Fun. Sewing skill levels are 1 through 6, with 1 representing a very beginner, and 6 a student who can sew without con-stant instruction. The June classes start with the beginners learning rules and safety while making some fun projects. In July we move up a level to those that have some sewing experi-ence. These projects are for students who already know the basic rules of sewing.

August classes are for the kids that have been sewing for a while. They know how to put things together and how to follow the sewing rules. Each month the classes will be three days. You will need to buy all the project supplies and patterns.
