Look vs Gaze
§ Look: a perceptual mode open to all
§ Gaze: a mode of viewing reflecting a gendered code of desire.
What is a Gaze?
§ Viewing recorded images: viewer’s gaze a voyeuristic dimension

relationship of power. § The gazer is superior to the
