ANNOUNCEMENTS
INITIAL TECHNOLOGY TEAM ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING: There will be Initial Technology Team Organizational meeting next Sunday, February 7 at 3PM at Joe Kadtke’s house, 15 Chaucer Drive, Brookside Park, Newark, DE 19713. The technology needs of our church continue to grow and expand. Pastor Dave is helping coordinate this team which will be led by Joe Kadtke. People currently working with the soundboard, visual (PowerPoint/EasyWorship) and video recording are asked to come to this meeting. People who are interested in being involved are welcome to come.
NO JR. CHURCH – FAITH KIDS TODAY: Starting last month, and resuming next week, parents of children in K-6th grade have the option of allowing their children to go directly from Sunday School to Jr. Church or come to the Worship Service and leave at the traditional time.
SAFETY CONCERNS: The sidewalk with steps from the back parking lot to Entrance Door #4 can be dangerous, particularly in wet and winter weather. We recommend using the sidewalk that leads to Entrance Door #3 located in the upper front corner of the back parking lot. Please remember, both Entrance Doors #3 and #4 are being locked within 15 minutes after the start of meetings and activities. Valet parking from the front door is available during Sunday morning services.
FOCUS NIGHT SUNDAY FEBRUARY 7: Last year, 7 of 10 homes, 111.1 million people watched the NFL Superbowl on television. This year, we want to seize this natural opportunity to connect with people and share Christ. Sports Spectrum, a part of the organization that produces Our Daily Bread, has a DVD designed to be shown at halftime or some other key point. We will provide a copy of the DVD for anyone hosting a Superbowl party on February 7. Also, we are planning to show the Superbowl in the Founders Room. We will be set up at 5PM for the 6:30PM kickoff. Please sign up in the foyer or on the bulletin board if you are hosting a party at your house or if you are joining us in the Founders Room.
EASTER SUNDAY MORNING REDEMPTION’S STORY: If you are willing to share your Redemptive Story for our Easter Worship Service, please fill out the blue questionnaire from the lobby and return it to the Hockings by February 14. If you have questions, email them at [email protected].
MISSIONS TRIP TO CLEVELAND OHIO: Our youth group is going to a mission’s trip June 18-25. Students (grades 7-12) on the trip will choose between doing age/skill appropriate renovation projects or helping with church planting projects (evangelism). Qualified adults are welcome to come as construction specialists and the like. The trip is coordinated by an organization called World Changers at the cost of $300 per person. We are planning on staying over one more day and do something in the Cleveland area at an additional cost. A deposit of $50 is needed February 3. Balance of $250 is due by June 1.
SUMMER CAMP: We plan to take our Youth Group to Word of Life camp July 31-August 6. A deposit of $80 is needed by Wednesday, March 16 to secure the total price of $350 per teen camper. After March, the price per camper goes up substantially. The balance of the money ($270) is due July 15. Please give your payments to Rich Elliott in the form of a check.
