Thiswasagreatweek.Wehadalotgoingon!WestartedourKeyboardingclassintheMediaCenterwithMs.Rouse.ThisiswherethestudentswillworkwithMs.Rouseeverydayfor45minutesworkingontheirkeyboardingskillsthroughaprogramcalled“TypetoLearn”.Thekidsseemtolikedoingthissofar.Therotationsortransitionsbetweenallofthe5thgradeclassesseemtobegoingbetter.Itseemstobemoreofaroutinenow.Ireallyenjoybeingabletomeetandinteractwithalloftheclasses.ItoldtheclassesthatitwasoneofmygoalstoknowALLoftheirnamesthisweek.IquizzedmyselfbytryingtosaytheirnameontheirwayoutofmyclassroomandIgotallofthemcorrect!EventhoughIhadkidsswitchingsweatshirtsandglassestotryandfoolme!TrickylittleKifthgraders!

We finished our first Unit in Math and took our first test today. This math series starts off with some tough math. Please make sure that you tell them you are proud of them for their efforts. I will give them a chance to redo or make corrections on their tests. I believe at this age it is important to give kids a chance to learn it. Sometimes it may take some kids longer but everyone deserves a chance to get it if THEY want to. We took our tests today and so when they get their math test back please encourage them to fix their mistakes and bring it back in to Mr. Strohman to earn some points back. They can earn half of the points back if they redo one and get it correct.

go into Mr. Stoller’s room at 3:00pm on Fridays and dance silly to music for 5 minutes as we wait

for the bell to dismiss us.
