This is a sincere, but long overdue thank you. We were so amazingly blessed with all your

support and help during our transition from Sturgeon Lake to Moose Lake. It was truly a daunting

task to move house, office and farm. We can't thank you enough for all the prayers, support,

meals, help finishing projects at Sturgeon Lake, donations of boxes, packing up our belongings in

boxes, help harvesting fruit, moving boxes, moving furniture, moving animals, moving farm

equipment, the loan of a trailer, the use of vehicles to move things, the loan of tractors, plus all the

sweat and muscle put into the physical moving and work done. You all were truly the hands and

feet of Christ to us in this move. Thank you from the depths of our hearts!

The Sheetz family - Thane, Cathy, Coriella, Phillip, and Amanina

Movie Night at MLC!!

Join us as we finish up the message series, “Won’t You Be My

Neighbor?” with a showing of the biography about Mr. Fred Rogers.

This is an incredible film about a man who lived out his faith for the

world to see…. It carries with it a message that will both challenge and

encourage you as you learn to live as a follower of Jesus in a dark world.

Showing of the film will be Sunday, September 23rd at 6PM

Bring the family and invite a friend.

An alternate film for children will be shown on site.

ALL CHURCH BIBLE READING PLAN

BEGINNINGS -The Evangelical Covenant denomination was born out of a

tradition of being rooted in scripture. A common phrase used in dialogue

continues to be... “where is it written.” We believe the Bible is our perfect rule for

faith and doctrine and that God continues to

speak through this sacred text today. With that

as a backdrop, our denomination has joined

with Tyndale Publishers, creators of the New

Living Translation of the Bible, to offer

designed “book club” style reading plans for the

church. This fall, beginning September 30th,

MLC will dive into their book, Beginnings.

Beginnings is a book that will walk us through

the first five books of the Bible. Books are

available for sale today - $7 each. Included with

the book will be the reading plan schedule and

links to online resources for support and

additional study. We hope you will join us this

fall, as we allow scripture to lead us, shape us, and move us as believers in Jesus.

Kindle versions are available.

Join a LIFE Group Today!

Starting in October, we have many

options for you to take that next step

of being a part of the community of

MLC. We value relationships and we

value learning God’s word together in

community. Sign up today for a group

that best fits your need. Stop by the

table near the gym to see all the

groups starting up this fall. We truly

believe that Life is Better Together!!!

Sermon Notes

September 16, 2018 Matthew 9:9-13 Pastor Barry

Join us on Wednesday, September 26 at 6:15pm

to hear Fabian Grech Fabian is one of the Team Leaders of the group that our

Homegrown Missionary Jen Carlson is a part of.

Fabian and his family moved to Iraq in 2012 with another

family to establish a House of Prayer and a Ministry School to raise up local leaders to

lead and pastor their own people.

Based only 50 miles away from where ISIS set up their headquarters in Iraq, Fabian

and his team are seeing Muslims from Iraq, Iran and Syria turning to

Jesus and raised up as leaders who are leading in the Prayer Movement

and reaching other Muslims for Jesus.

For more information, see his website: www.freedomtocaptives.com.

There will be a Freewill Offering taken to bless Fabian.
