Toronto’s Seniors”, which directed:

City Council unanimously adopts report CD4.2 “Seniors Strategy – Development Process” , which
directed:
� the Executive Director, Social Development, Finance & Administration, develop a
Seniors Strategy;
� City staff convene a Senior Staff Steering Committee to develop the Seniors Strategy;� City staff convene a Senior Staff Steering Committee to develop the Seniors Strategy;
� City staff establish a Working Committee with External Stakeholders and Experts to
advise and provide input on the development of a Seniors Strategy;
� City staff develop an Engagement Plan to consult with stakeholders and experts annually
on the development and implementation of a Seniors Strategy; and
� City staff submit the Seniors Strategy to the Community Development & Recreation
Committee by September 2012

Community Development & Recreation report CD5.2 “Seniors Strategy Subcommittee -
Terms of Reference and Work Plan” defines the mandate of the Seniors Strategy Sub-
Committee:
“The [Seniors Strategy] Subcommittee will provide advice

“The [Seniors Strategy] Subcommittee will provide advice
and input on the development of the Seniors Strategy.”
The Seniors Strategy Subcommittee will report to the Community Development &
Recreation Committee, and “will meet a maximum of four (4) times to the end of the
2010-2014 or until Council approves a Seniors Strategy.”
