EligibilityRegistration is open to anyone for most of our programs. Some programs are limited to members of the Hillcrest Family YMCA as well as Program Members. All others are considered non-members. We do register on a first come-first served basis regardless of residency, unless otherwise noted under the actual program. You are encouraged to register early as many programs have a limit and can fill quickly.

Attendance PolicyYour inability to attend a class because of a change in personal circumstances does not warrant a refund. YMCA Program cred-its will be issued only for extended illness and/or injury documented and signed by a physician. Credits will not include the cost of any materials and/or supplies purchased for students by the instructor for their class.

Fees/PaymentRegistration fees for all listed programs are payable through the Hillcrest Family YMCA and must be paid in full prior to the first scheduled class. Our instructors cannot and will not accept registration forms and/or fees at the program site. Early registration and payment is critical for the viability of these classes and for assurance of your spot in the class or program. We reserve the right to accept or deny registrations if they are re-ceived late. You may pay by cash, personal check, money order, Visa, Master Card or Discover for any program. If you charge programs by phone, you acknowledge that you have read and fully understand the refund policy. Please have your credit card number, expiration date and security code handy when you are registering.

Returned Check Policy (NSF)In accordance with the rules established by the National Automated Clearing House As-sociation (NACHA), we have chosen to utilize electronic collection of checks returned for insufficient funds (NSF). Such checks will be submitted electronically through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network for redeposit and the check writer’s account will be debited for both the face amount of the check and a returned check fee!

Confirmation/CancellationWe do not mail confirmations for class en-rollments. We will make every attempt to notify you in advance if a class is cancelled, changed, or if your registration is received after a class is already full. If enrollment is insufficient for any particular class, the class will be cancelled and fees will be refunded in full within 4 to 6 weeks after cancellation. We do reserve the right to cancel, combine or divide classes, to change time, day, date, or place of meeting, to change the instructor assignments, and to make revisions in these offerings. We will contact you of any changes so it is very important that you supply us with at least two contact phone numbers as well as a current working email address.

Non-endorsement PolicyInstructors are contracted or hired because they have a special skill or talent which they are willing to share with our communities. Please note however, we do not endorse the opinions or business affiliations of our instructors/independent contractors.

LiabilityWe do not provide insurance for program participants. You must be aware that par-ticipation in activities can sometimes result in injuries, understand the risks to these activities, and make no claim or demand against the YMCA, SELREC, the City of South Euclid, the City of Lyndhurst, and/or the SE-L Board of Education or their agents and employees in the event of an accidental occurrence.

Children/SiblingsChildren are not allowed to accompany you to adult classes. Also, unregistered siblings are not permitted to attend youth or teen classes. High school students may register for most adult classes provided they are held in the SE-L school district locations.

Senior CitizensAdults ages 60 and over may pay the senior fee when noted. All other classes which do not list a separate senior fee are available at the full fee.

Inclement Weather CancellationsWhen the South Euclid-Lyndhurst City Schools are not in session or are dismissed early due to inclement weather, all daytime, afternoon, and/or evening classes being held in any SE-L buildings will not be held, regardless of weather changes. Classes missed due to bad weather or other “acts of God” will be added on to the end of the session whenever possible. We, however, reserve the right to terminate any class with fewer than the scheduled number of meetings, without issuing a refund or a credit if we cannot add it on at the end of the session. Programs held in other school districts or at the Hillcrest Family YMCA (i.e. Mayfield, Shaker Hts., or Beachwood) follow their respective building and/or school closing schedules. Feel free to call the Hillcrest Family YMCA after 4:30pm for class cancellation information. The follow-ing departments may also be contacted for class cancellations.

The Art of Tarot (Adults)A Tarot reading is like a snapshot of your current life. The cards turn into your energy - the person asking the question to give you a picture of unseen influ-ences, behavioral patterns, obstacles, and strengths. A reading can give you an idea of where you are now, where you’ve come from, where you want to be, and how to get there. The Tarot is a powerful tool for self-improvement and insight. Learn the proper care for your tarot cards including making your own deck pouch. An independent project will stem from learning the cards, including recreating a specific card, creating a card as a self-portrait, or tons of other possibilities. Have a deck and interpre-tation book already? Bring it with you each week. If you don’t have a deck or book, purchase a traditional tarot deck or oracle deck of your choice (available online or in stores). Instructor: Liz Scaglione

Prior to start-ing the course, parent and child will have a meeting with a program direc-tor reviewing course expectations and commitment needed to be successful. The program is geared to target and build the players’ specific or individual developmental needs. An IDP (Individ-ual Develop Plan) card is used at the beginning, mid-way point and end of the session to continually measure the player’s progress.
