Happy Holidays Chamber members,

I’m always surprised how quickly the holidays roll around. What a fun time of year to enjoy your family and friends. I hope you were able to make it to the Business After Hours at Tailgaiters and Pastime, we enjoyed great food and company in their new and remodeled venues. Our next Business After Hours will be at Nana Kate’s on the 15th of December from 5-7pm! Don’t miss the Selahbration coming up on Friday, December 2nd, it’s festive hometown fun for kids of every age. Please join us for the Selah Chamber General Meeting on November 30th, we are excited to have the Selah High School host us this month (at the SHS Library). Come hear what the Vikings are up to and how to get more involved with the schools. While you are humming around Selah take note of those special homes and businesses that have taken extra care to show their Christmas spirit. Back by popular demand is the Chambers Christmas lighting contest! We love to give out all sorts of prizes for those that demonstrate their lighting talents. Please jot down the address and email, post on facebook or call your entry in to Glenda at the Chamber by December 16th. Can’t wait to see how many nominations come in this year! Basic Ballroom and Beyond Dance classes will teach basic ballroom footwork,

framework, spins and turns to music of the 40’s and 50’s. The six week program offers

lessons in foxtrot, cha -cha , t ango , wa l tz and more . A dance partner is

recommended but not required. Please pre-register at the Parks and Recreation office or

online.

3&4 year olds: 10:00am-10:45am

4&5 year olds: 11:00am-11:45am

Location: Lince Field on Naches Avenue

Children will be getting their first exposure to soccer through our Tiny Tots program. In the

program, they will learn the basics of soccer; teamwork, dribbling, shooting and passing

throughout the six weeks. This program is a great stepping stone for children looking to play

league soccer in the future.

Please note, the Selah Chamber of Commerce General Membership meeting will be held on Wednesday, November

30th ( date change due to Thanksgiving) and our location for this meeting only, will be at the Selah High School

Library. The main speakers will be Todd Hilberg, Principal at SHS and Colton Monti , Athletic Director at SHS.

Our Spotlight Speaker will be Shawn Walli from Walli World Travel. Lunch will be provided by the High School

and will be served at 11:30am, followed by our meeting at 12:00pm. Please join us!

Selah Chamber Business Trick or Treat BIGGEST EVER!

Thank you so much to all of the businesses that participated

in the Business Trick or Treat held on Monday, Oct. 31st from 4-

6pm. Because of you, this year was one of the biggest

participation years of businesses & kids!

Some of the feed back I’ve heard is that some businesses run

out of candy. It’s hard to tell each business how much to buy

due to your specific location of your business. The Selah

Chamber (located at the Civic Center) generally purchases

10-12 bags (BIG BAGS) and I had 1 bag left this year (we give

out 2 pieces of candy). It’s always better to buy too much

(then you can return unopened bags). Whether you run out

or not, we truly appreciate your participation and I know the

kids do too!!

We would like to send out a very special THANK YOU to all of

the soldier volunteer crossing guards from the Yakima Training

Center. Your presence and your service is very much

appreciated
