Latest GDP Growth Figures: Scottish GDP grew 0.6% during the third quarter of 2014.
On an annual basis, comparing the latest quarter to the same period in the previous year, Scottish GDP grew 3.0%.

Growth in output in Scotland in 2014 will record its strongest performance since 2007.
This has been helped partly by a strong pace of growth in the UK and the US this year, and has occurred despite the challenging environment in the euro area and lingering risks globally.

Climate Very moderate temperatures. January/ February averages 7 Celsius or

High latitude leads to short winter days long summer days.
Small country but regional variances of Scotland changes climate. Western Highlands wet and windy, Eastern part of country does not experience this.

Transportation Touring Scotland can be done in several ways. All the traditional
options are available that we are used to as Americans. Bus, taxis, ferry’s, and rental cars are all readily available.
Ferry rides are a must to see island beauty. Over 100 islands to visit.
Bus or taxi is preferred choice if destination is permanent.
For long rides through the country tourists should use trains.
Car is the only way to go though. 12 road routes cut through Scotland’s landscape. Very good signage and unique roads that each have a tourist theme are available.
