A year long project 2008/2009

Pupils are encouraged to explore and discover fascinating physical and chemical phenomena in

experiments in an exciting and interesting way.

WORK PROCESS

Teachers explain the basic points of the project to the class

Formation of groups: students form working groups in each European class made up of two or three members.

Election of experiments: each working group selects three or four experiments, makes contact in the TWINSPACE with other partners from different schools working on the same experiments. A short summary 1/2

Pupils make videos of experiments which they share with their new friends in the TWINSPACE of the project http://my.twinspace.etwinning.net/magic_experimentsand in the project Blog:http://magic-but-real-experiments.blogspot.com

The project is presented to the rest of the educational communities in each participant school using notice boards and posters or exhibitions where the main features of the project are shown.

A year long project 2008/2009The project brings together one primary school from each of 30 eTwinning countries from all around Europe, who sing a song that is representative of their own country.

All 30 countries view the songs on the project’s blog

The winning school ZS Husova, in Brno Czech Republic has received a special trophy and has been crowned

Schoolvision champion.

SCIENCE & MATHS / Digital Skills winners – Common features

They are both year long projects.

The pupils played an active role in the projects. They help each other in the learning and use of ICT skills working in teams and sharing knowledge.

Creative learning and teaching methodologies have been a significant and highly successful element within both projects.

Staff communication, pedagogical exchanges and project development have been facilitated through a strong use of ICT and communication tools.

The project activities lead to the greater involvement of parents and communities in all the European partners and has encouraged and contributed to local and European community cohesion.
