The Progression Scheme:

CIT will make available 50 places for students through the Progression Scheme. The institute will provide Post Entry Support for the participants in the form of induction and orientation, academic supports, educational guidance and where possible, financial assistance.

ELIGIBILITY:

You must meet Indicator 1, plus a combination of 2 other indicators shown below;1. INCOME: Your income falls on or below the maintenance grant limit 2012/13.2. MEDICAL/GP VISIT CARD: Your family has a Medical Card/GP Visit Card that was in date on 31 December 2012.3. MEANS TESTED SOCIAL WELFARE: Your family received a means-tested payment from the Department of Social Protection (previously Dept. of Social Welfare) for at least 26 weeks in 2012.4. SOCIO-ECONOMIC GROUP:. Under-represented socio-economic groups are non-manual workers, semi-skilled and unskilled manual workers and agricultural workers.5. DEIS SCHOOL ATTENDANCE: Attending one of our linked DEIS School for 5 yrs.6. COLLEGE ATTENDANCE: The student is the first family member to attend third level education.
