Subheading
The background will stay a neutral colour, but depending on the background – if its and architectural image then it may take up the whole page or if the image already has a nice looking background.
Welcome note; Head, dep. Head, Head of 6th form.
Again for the contents page the colour scheme will be a neutral or subtle colour, maybe a light blue as blue is the schools main colour. Or the front cover can be the a blue colour and then contents page may be the pale yellow/magnolia colour as this would represent the school colours very well.

Cover Image of a student, teacher or architecture. The image will be bind the banner, main coverline, coverlines and the masthead.
Main coverline; The main article in the magazine
Magazine Front Cover Mock-Up
Masthead: • The masthead is in a simple font
which is in blue that represents the school colours, underneath is the school slogan.
Logo:• The logo is before the
masthead making it instantly recognisable to the audience.
Main Coverline: • The main coverline is situated
across the main image as this is also the anchor and therefore needs to be eye catching – this will have a quote or sub heading underneath.
Banner: • This banner will contain eye
catching images and promoting a certain even, e.g. upcoming football game or arts week.
Coverlines: • These will contain the
main articles about events and upcoming news in school.
• These coverlines will also contain icons, these will be arrows highlighting the key articles within the magazines.
Main Image:• The main image will be of a
student or group of students who are in the main article – the main article will be a big event ect.
Background:• The background will be a plain blue fading to white as it
reaches the lower right corner – this is to make the magazine not look to minimalistic and ‘chunky’.

Masthead:• This will follow the same
layout as the front covers masthead.
Logo:• Again the logo is in the same
place (at the beginning of the masthead).
Editors word & Welcome note:• This is an editors note and a
welcome note from the head, dep. Head, head of 6th form. (With an image of both speakers)
Background:• The background on the
contents page will be the architecture of the school
Contents of the magazine:• This will contain the little block
headings of the main subject (art, media ect), this will also contain page numbers and maybe an image or too.
Icon:• This is an arrow that will
encourage the reader the read on to the main article.
Main article image & page number:• This is the main article
image that will take up most of the page. It will have a summery of what the article is about or a key quote from the article.
Magazine Drawn Up
Colour scheme:• The colour scheme will represent the school
throughout as this is what I found when doing my research into magazine, plus, my questionnaire results concluded that the theme should be of one that represents the school.
Page Numbers:• The page numbers will
be in the JMA logo (shield)
Masthead & Logo:• The masthead and
logo are in the same font and positioning as the front.
