• In this presentation I will be explaining what each character will need for the scene and each prop that we will be using and the significance of that prop and character. The

War

Within

Scene 1

• Interior Scene • Michael, Zain and two Asian boys• Old television, DVD and posters• The reasons why I am using these props

within my scene is because they have relevance to the story but also to the characters in my film, as the TV will help to make the scene feel as though it is 2001. I have used a DVD from which the news report will be played off. The reason why I am using different posters within my scene is because I am portraying that Zain is a normal boy his room is like any boys. He is different, he doesn’t have too many expensive products within his room all he has is what a normal 18 year boy would have in his room.

Scene

2

• Interior Scene• Michael & Jack• In this scene they will not be as many

props as there is in the first scene, but its not the props that create significance but the characters and their dialogues in this scene. Each character has significance in their own way as from this scene onwards the conflict between the boys begins.

Scene 3

• Interior Scene • Michael and Beth• This is one of the most important scenes

of our film as from this scene onwards Michaels life starts to fall apart. In this scene the main props will be the two glasses from which Michael and Beth will drink from. Other props will be the table and chairs that Michael and Beth will be sitting around as the scene is set in a restaurant.

Scene 4

• Interior scene• Michael and Doug ( Michaels father) • We are using our teachers house in this scene as

our teacher is quite old fashioned and what we are trying to portray in this scene is that Michaels father is a racist. We are going to do this by using props such as rogued clothes to show that his dad is a rough man, we have also used a glass of whisky we have done this to portray that his father is a drunken person who likes his drink.

• Everything will be portrayed in the way the character dresses and the way he speaks to portray his racist background and hatred for people of the same ethnicity as Zain. Other props used in this scene is a DVD which has burned on to it the speech given by bush. We used this speech to show the racist side of Michaels father. We have also used a TV which the DVD will be playing off.

Scene 5

• Interior scene•Michael• In this scene Michael will walk into the next room, in this scene we haven't used as much as we should have as what we are portraying is that Michael is alone, there is nobody by his side now. So the main prop will be light and objects in Michaels dining room which represent him.

Scene 6

– Climax

• Exterior scene • Michael, Zain and Michael • This is the final scene and is very

important to our film as the ending is what will give a conclusion to the feud between the boys. We used the park to show a bit of realism as if someone was going to be beaten it would not be outside the school gates. • Props used are clothes worn by the

actors, bags that the actors will be holding as the scene will begin with the main actor walking from outside his class.
