DISEASE CONTROL13 Owners entering cattle must sign the relevant TB declaration printed on the entry form & submit a copy of

the TB Test Certificate showing the whole herd or show cattle status with the entry form.

19 Completed TB Declaration cards MUST accompany all cattle & be available for inspections on request – to be produced at the gate of Cambridge A & P Show Grounds.

NO CARD! NO ENTRY!22 The Cambridge A & P Society shall not be responsible for any loss or damage caused (inter alia) through

disease or infection howsoever arising.

OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRY35 In the case of young cattle where the registration number of the animal is not yet available, the date of birth

& the name of Sire & Dam must be given at time of entry. (They must be eligible for entry in their respective Herd Book).

FORBIDDEN SUBSTANCES54 Any animal may be tested for Drugs or Forbidden Substances at any Show under the By-Laws & Regulations

adopted by the RAS & the Procedures adopted by the FSJC.

Mid Northern District will select shows at random. The RAS Test Stewards designated with this task are not known by the Show organisers prior to the day of the Show. Animals will be chosen at random by the Test Stewards.

55(a)3 DRUGS or FORBIDDEN SUBSTANCE means any substance capable of affecting the speed, stamina, courage or conduct of the animal by its action upon the central or peripheral nervous system or the cardio-vascular, respiratory, alimentary, digestive, muscoskeletal or urogenital systems.

COMPETITOR OBLIGATIONS66 Exhibitors must provide sufficient attendants to take charge of each entry, & lead them into the Show Ring

when required.

67 No distinguishing mark of ownership or stud name, with the exception of ‘earmarks, tattoos, ear tags’ & registered brands, may be attached to any animal exhibited.

70 The Cambridge A & P Society reserves the right to make any alteration in Show Timetable or to postpone the Show or withdraw any event as may be deemed desirable.

CATTLE85 Age of all Cattle shall be computed as at 1st June. All animals shall be deemed to be one year older on this

date.

93 All Pedigree cattle 1yr old & over must be Registered with the Breed Society, & no bull or heifer under 2yrs of age shall be eligible for Championships with the exception of Beef Breeds.

DAIRY97 All Dairy Bulls two years & over must be rung, have two leaders & be under adequate supervision.

100 All cows 3yrs of age & over, that have been tested & have production records printed.

94 All bulls 12 months & over must be rung & led by the ring, & be under adequate supervision.

CAMBRIDGE A & P SPECIAL RULES & CONDITIONS

No one to stay on the grounds overnight• ALL CATTLE must be on the grounds by 9.00 a.m. ready for judging, except where otherwise stated.

• All cattle to be named in each class apart from teams

• No dairy stock allowed on the grounds prior to 6.00 a.m. on the day of the show

• All exhibitors must clear cattle areas of vehicles by 8.45am.

• All cattle must be haltered & led for judging.

• No cattle to leave the Showgrounds before 2.00pm unless arranged with Chief Steward.

• Unless otherwise stated, a group shall be interpreted to mean one bull & three females, all of whom shall have competed in the Show, & the bull not less than 12 months old.

• All calves to be born after 1 June

• Pedigree calves are eligible for Calf Club Section as well as respective Breed classes.

• The onus of responsibility for the accuracy of all entries lies solely with the exhibitor, who must ensure that each entry is legible, the animal or competitor is eligible, & that all details required for any class are fully & correctly stated on the entry form at the time the entry is made.

Special Note: Production Records must be stated at the time of entry & all entries must comply with the following milk solids production standard (305 day test):

Event participantsEvent participants taking animals to events are considered to be people in charge of animals for NAIT purposes, & are required to record movements to & from events.

When recording a movement to an event, event participants are required to record the following information with NAIT:

• the type of movement – this is ‘to/from an event’.

• record the ‘to’ & ‘from’ dates.

• select the event.

• All Animals must be tagged with official NAIT tags.

The event can be selected in the NAIT IT System by entering or selecting the event name, event NAIT number, or by the event organiser’s name.

Age of exhibitor 12-21 inclusive as at 1st February of that current show season.

• After judging at Morrinsville points from the three shows will be added together for final placings,in the event of the final placing being a tie, the exhibitor with the highest placings will be deemed the winner.

stripped out. Points awarded for both full & empty udder, to be totalled to determine the place getters. Does may be eased before judging & must be stripped prior to entering the ring for the empty udder judging.

512 Associated Records Best Udder – Held under the same conditions as in Class 511.513 Junior Show Person – For young persons of 15 years & under. To be judged on exhibitors’ ability to lead,

place, turn, stop & start their goat. To answer two questions. Show preparation & appearance of exhibitor & goat taken into account. Exhibitors’ age to be included on entry form plus their grade, (bronze, silver, gold, advance).

514 Junior Herdsperson – 15 years up to 25 years showing an adult goat. To be judged on presentation & knowledge of the anatomy of the animal, also the handling & health of the adult goat. Does not have to be owned by the exhibitor.
