Sani-Tech® S.I.B.® 2 Fusion Equipment

The Sani-Tech® S.I.B.® 2 fusion welding toolis a better way to install high-purity plasticpiping systems. S.I.B.® technology creates asmooth interior surface at the tubing weld,eliminating all beads, crevices, and intrusions into the fluid stream. Thesmooth surface reduces the areas for contaminants and bacteria to collect.The updated S.I.B.® 2 tool delivers fasterweld times and increased weld identifica-tion and traceability, and also offersimproved durability and ease of use.

Sani-Tech® high-purity piping systemsinstalled with Smooth Inner Bore technology are ideal for pharmaceuticaland biotechnology facilities. The entrap-ment-free interior surface combined withour high-purity piping and componentscreates the ultimate high-purity system.

Sani-Tech® Flange Forming Systems

The flange former is a bench-top machinedesigned to quickly and easily create a sanitary ferrule on polypropylene and PVDFpiping in sizes from 3/4" to 2". These fer-rules are connected using a sanitary gasketand Sani-Tech® true union clamps. The san-itary ferrules and pipe I.D. will matchdimensionally to stainless steel sanitaryferrules for ease of connection to all equip-ment. (Connection to a 1" stainless steelsanitary ferrule requires the use of a mold-ed adapter.)

Sani-Tech® uses only the highest puritymaterials to ensure the quality of yourultra-pure water or chemical transfer. Allpiping and components are manufacturedwith polypropylene or Kynar® PVDF, bothhigh-purity thermoplastic materials. Thesematerials are preferred in applicationswhere the highest purity water quality isdesired. Thermoplastic materials have beenshown to be less susceptible to biofilmgrowth than stainless steel, due to themuch higher rate of ion contamination bystainless steel.

Sani-Pro® T Polypropylene Tubing

Natural, unpigmented Sani-Pro® Tpolypropylene tubing is extremely toughand durable. It is inert, has excellentchemical resistance and will not corrode,scale or pit on contact surfaces. It is non-conductive and is not subject to galvanic action. It is an excellent choice for most moderate service applications.Sani-Pro® T tubing is easy and economicalto install and maintain.

Sani-Pro® K PVDF Tubing

Sani-Pro® K tubing is manufactured fromnatural, unpigmented Kynar® polyvinylidenefluoride (PVDF) resin, the material of choicefor high-purity chemical, pharmaceuticaland semiconductor system applications.PVDF is a durable engineering thermoplas-tic that combines mechanical strength anddurability with outstanding chemicalresistance.

Sani-Pro® K PVDF tubing, fittings and valveshave excellent surface smoothness andvery low extractables and TOC levels. Theyhave outstanding resistance to aggressivechemicals, ozone and UV radiation.

Diaphragm Valves

For use in high-purity water, chemical andprocess lines. Valves have a smooth fluidpath with no pockets to harbor bacteria orcontaminants. Fluid comes in contact withonly two valve components, the body anddiaphragm. These valves can be pneumati-cally actuated.

Zero Dead-Leg Valves

These unique valves combine a diaphragmvalve, tee and reducer into one and eliminate all “dead legs” and stagnantareas found in conventional valve/teeassemblies. Designed to provide a longservice life in pharmaceutical, biotech,semiconductor and laboratory systems,high-purity zero dead leg valves can bepneumatically actuated.

Ball Valves

Rugged, reli-able high-flowvalves thatprovide economical,dependableservice in awide range ofchemical andhigh-purityapplications. These valves are compact andfeature Teflon® seats and seals for smoothoperation, stainless steel shafts and trunnion ball design. They can be fittedwith pneumatic or electric actuation.

PressureRegulators

Designed to handle ultra-pureor corrosive fluidswith inlet pres-sures up to 150 psigat 75˚F, and controldownstream pres-sure from 5 to 75psig. A regulatorprevents downstream system pressure fromexceeding the desired set pressure. The regulator shuts down when the set pressureis reached to protect downstream equip-ment and instrumentation. As downstreamdemand increases, the regulator opens to fillthe demand. The design incorporates a poppet seat at the valve orifice to preventsticking and double U-cap seals on the internal shaft to prevent inlet pressure fromaffecting the sensing of the downstreamline pressure. One-piece body constructioneliminates internal leakage.

Pressure ReliefValves

A very versatileand widely usedvalve for high-purity water andchemical transfer systems. This is anormally closedvalve that willopen when themanually adjustable set pressure isreached. This valve is used for the followingapplications: pressure relief valve, backpressure regulator, pressure bypass valve,and back pressure valve. This valve is available in both angle and in-line configurations.

Ball Check Valves

These valves utilize a long-life Viton® seatand floating ball design to allow fluid flowin only one direction for a wide variety of applications. The unique valve design prevents sticking and chattering and allows installation in vertical and horizontal positions.

Sani-Tech® manufactures sanitary valves for most high-purity fluid applications. Sani-Tech®valves can be used for tank connections, venting, point-of-use, or isolating fluid streams, andare manufactured with sanitary connections for easy installation. Available in 2- or 3-wayconfigurations in polypropylene (Sani-Pro® T) and PVDF (Sani-Pro® K) materials in the following designs:

Sani-Tech® offers components for flowmeasurement in high-purity piping applications. Components are all availablewith polypropylene or PVDF sanitary connections.

Gauge Guards

Designed for use where ultra high-purity isrequired in sanitary applications.Two versions available. The in-line versioneliminates piping “dead legs” that canencourage bacterial growth and contami-nation. A flexible elastomer spool ensuresreading accuracy for pressure applications.The vertical version is an economical alter-native that uses a flexible Teflon®diaphragm as a protective barrier betweenthe process fluid and the gauge guard.Gauge guards are liquid-filled and rangefrom 0 to 100 psig. Alternative ranges areavailable.

Flow Meters

Constructed ofpolysulfone,which is wellsuited for high-purity orchemical applications.Flow meters aredurable, andresistant to corrosion, heatand abrasion.They feature aneasy-to-read

scale in a variety of ranges for liquid and air(STP) in 3/4" to 2" sizes. They are used inreverse osmosis, semiconductor, film and X-ray processing and deionized water applications. They withstand pressures to150 psig and flow rates to 130 GPM.

Sanitary gooseneck faucets utilize thesame non-metallic contact surfaces as oursanitary piping systems. They are availablein unpigmented natural polypropylene andPVDF materials and meet and/or exceedFDA, USDA and USP standards. They arespecifically designed for ultra high-puritywater systems in biotechnology, pharma-

ceutical and microelectronics applications,as well as related R&D laboratory benchesand sink areas. These innovative designsare equipped with sanitary end connections as a standard for completeintegration with Sani-Pro® piping systems,flexible hoses and components.

Sight gauges create a“window” for visually monitoring yourprocess stream in apiping system. Theyare used in water andfood processing systems, chemicalplants, and processlines. Assemblies are
