TECHNICAL DATA SHEET • In General

HS PROTECT – SANI is a revolutionary liquid coating that forms a temporary peelable film when dry to protect a variety of sanitary fittings.

HS PROTECT – SANI protects substrates against weathering, scratches, filthiness (e.g. paint or mortar splashes) and corrosive chemicals that could damage them. Both interior and exterior use is possible.

• Field of Application:

HS PROTECT – SANI was developed specifically for the protection of sanitary fixtures and other nonporous materials. It can also be used on mirrors and stainless steel.

Should not be applied to untreated wood or porous surfaces.

We advice to use HS PROTECT – SANI + for all acrylic surfaces

• Specifics:

Appearance liquid, blue

Fixed Content Approximately 40%

Density 1.05

Resistance / Durability HS PROTECT – SANI is weatherproof and UV-resistant for a maximum period of 12 months outdoors. It will not detach unless removed by peeling.

Drying time HS PROTECT – SANI will be surface-dry in approximately 30

minutes depending on the weather conditions. It takes 24 hours to completely dry the foil.

Health and safety Nonflammable in both liquid and dry state.

The use of protective clothing is advised. Avoid skin and eye contact. In case of: CONTACT WITH EYES: Rinse with water for at least 15 minutes.

INHALATION: Inhale fresh air. CONTACT WITH SKIN: Rinse with water and soap. INGESTION: Remove from stomach by induced vomiting or aspiration. Seek medical attention. RELEASED/SPILLED MATERIAL: Absorb with inert material (e.g. sand, soil, etc.). Caution: Liquid emulsion can be very slippery. WATER DISPOSAL: In accordance with state, local, and federal requirements/measures.

• Application Guidelines:

Application Temperature Between 5°C and 35°C = Ideal temperature.

Manual Application Apply by means of a paint roller. A minimal layer thickness of 200

micron in dry condition, 400 in wet, is recommended. Too thin of a layer will be difficult to remove.

Mechanical Application Apply by means of a spray gun. Avoid spray-mist edges, so that the overall thickness of the layer is not compromised.

Cleaning Equipment can be cleaned with warm water. Add detergent if necessary.

Repairs In case of damage to the HS PROTECT – SANI film, the film can

easily be replaced by applying a new layer of HS PROTECT –

SANI above the existing one. The two layers will merge.

Removal The temporary film HS PROTECT – SANI can easily be removed with one move. At temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius, the film may become brittle, which, in turn, will hamper the removal process.

Remarks The freshly applied HS PROTECT – SANI film should be protected against rain for a 24-hour period. Once dry, the HS PROTECT –

SANI film layer becomes thermoplastic.
