Content Area: This area of the English subject focuses on words that have the same sound but are spelled differently, also known as homonyms. Homophones are a type of homonym that also sound alike and have different meanings, but have different spellings.

Summary: There are a numerous amount of words in our English dictionary that sound the same but are spelled differently with different meanings. To be able to tell these words apart when forming or reading a sentence is very important.
