The Swing Mount allows the operator to push or pull the Vacuum out of the way so that the truck can easily be emptied of leaves. This is a very efficient and effective way to remove leaves and haul them away. Salsco will also offer a 36HP Leaf Vacuum that can be towed on its’ own trailer. This particular unit comes with a 12” diameter intake hose and a remote mounted impeller. This design will protect the engine’s crank shaft. The impeller is mounted directly to a remote jack shaft and not the actual crank shaft. One Happy 627XT Customer!Romantic gifts take on many forms in Griggs, Dakota. Farmer Fred and I celebrated our 38th Wedding Anniversary with the purchase of a Salsco 627XT Wood Chipper. We both agreed that it was perfect. Fred saw the chipper as a tool that would keep branches out of the way of his machinery. I saw it as an opportunity to generate an abundance of wood chips for our gardens. Ahh… As is typical on farms and ranches across America, what began as a dream quickly degenerated into sweaty work.

There was evidence the trees had been trimmed along the trail. Where I expected to hear a loud knocking noise, there was birdsong and silence

There was plenty of fodder for the chipper,

and some really beautiful wood chips already in the trailer.

Perhaps they fed the machine more than it could chew..

But there were tools at hand,

and the process of fixing had begun.

There were three frustrated men working on the chipper under very hot sunny conditions

One Happy 627XT Customer cont. The problem was caused by a broken sheer pin. Now the chipping can begin again. Bill, a volunteer at the Aneta Community Orchard, was pleased to have a ready source of wood chips available. Wood chips are known to suppress weed growth in areas where mowing is difficult.

I spent the week of July 15th with Richard Owen (Salsco Sales) and the majority of Reynolds Turf Equipment sales people. We visited golf clubs in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan. Every club we visited asked for a written quote for one of our products. Each visit was an absolute success.

Everyone loves our machines! The Tranz-former, got fantastic reviews. Everyone likes rolling greens in under four minutes. The Self-Transport feature of the Roll-N-Go has gotten the attention of the “Trailer Haters”.

The HP5.5 & HP4 are also still getting lots of attention. Four driven rolls and the independent floating capacity of each roll make these two dedicated Greens Rollers a fantastic choice.

Excerpt from Golf Course Industry article “Matt Shaffer Speaks!” – July 18, 2013

“A prior article in GCI discussed fairway rolling and Matt’s being a pioneer in that area. So it is only natural to ask Matt his opinion of them and how they came into play leading up to and during the US Open. “The fairway rollers proved to be extremely valuable not only to help with firmness but also as a squeegee for drying out landing zones. Not an agronomic practice that most would embrace but during a championship where you are trying to avoid mud balls it works to perfection. If we hadn’t rolled there would have been many mows that would have been missed but we never skipped one mowing and we never had a single scalp” reported Matt.”

“Rolling on the greens with the Roll N Go attributed to some very fast speeds. Matt indicated to me that he had a few other tricks up his sleeve that week but will keep them to himself as he hopes to be around long enough to perhaps host another championship!”
