BISHOP DAVID J. WALKOWIAK ASKS US TO PRAY FOR OUR SEMINARIANS
Loving God, Raise up dedicated leaders who will shepherd your people and guide them to your Son. Give generous and willing hearts to the seminarians of our Diocese who have heard your call to live a life of service to the Church. Help us to encourage and support them as they strive to become priests who are models of discipleship, possessors of wisdom and on fire with love for your people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
We especially pray for: David A. Jameson

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is during the
9:30 Mass for children ages 3-7 years. Each week we pray, read and explore the Sunday Gospel from a child’s view-point. This Sunday, Jesus asked Peter, Andrew, James and John to leave all they have and to follow him. Living and witnessing to the Gospel is a choice that demands nothing less than total conversion. If Jesus happened to walk in this room right now and asked you to drop everything and follow him, what would you do?

ST MARY’S RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS
PLEASE REMEMBER THESE ST. MARY’S PARISHIONERS IN YOUR PRAYERS
Pre-School thru 2nd grade Children’s Liturgy / 11AM Mass 1st-7th Grade / Wednesdays at Parish Hall / 6:15- 7:30pm 8th grade / Wednesdays beginning Nov 9. / 6:45-8:30pm
Today in Children’s Liturgy of the Word we asked the question: How is God calling us to be fishers of people like He did Peter, Andrew, James, and John? In today’s Gospel Jesus called the fishers Peter, Andrew, James, and John to follow Him. He told them that instead of catching fish, He would make them into fishers of people instead. By this Jesus meant that Peter, Andrew, James, and John would be His disciples and lead many people to God. When they heard the voice of Jesus they responded immediately. They left everything behind to follow Him. Jesus also calls each one of us to follow Him. We may not hear His actual voice calling out to us, but we can pay attention to what He is saying in our hearts. That is where Je-sus is speaking to us. We must pray to open our hearts to be able to hear His call. Jesus invites all of us to accept, live, and share in the Kingdom of God. We are all called to live in the light of Christ who is our beginning and our end. Living in the light of Christ means sharing the Good News of the Kingdom of God and bringing God’s love and goodness to all those we meet. We can listen to the call like Peter, Andrew, James, and John or we can ignore it. What will you do?
Congratulations to the following students who made their First Reconciliation this weekend: Avery Byrne, Owen Fritz, Dane Gasser, Hunter HanKamp, Hunter Hofacker, Carter Patrick, Halea Potts, Natalie Rinke, Haley Ruster, Brayden Schoenborn, Manuel Toledo, Maria Toledo, Eddy Vandenack, Sam Vandenack, and Lucas Weining. May they always know the mercy and love of Christ.
