Gloria:
Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to people of good will.
We praise you,
We bless you,
we adore you,
we glorify you,
we give you thanks for your great glory,
Lord God, heavenly King,
O God, almighty Father.
Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son,
Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father,
you take away the sins of the world,
have mercy on us;
you take away the sins of the world,
receive our prayers;
you are seated at the right hand of the Father,
have mercy on us.
For you alone are the Holy One,
you alone are the Lord, you alone are
the Most High,
Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit,
in the glory of God the Father.
Amen

Liturgy of the Word/Liturgia de la Palabra First Reading/ Primera Lectura
1 Kings 3:5, 7-12
1 Reyes 3, 5-13
The LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream
at night.
God said, “Ask something of me and I will
give it to you.”
Solomon answered:
“O LORD, my God, you have made me,
your servant, king
to succeed my father David;
but I am a mere youth, not knowing at all
how to act.
I serve you in the midst of the people whom
you have chosen,
a people so vast that it cannot be numbered
or counted.
Give your servant, therefore, an
understanding heart
to judge your people and to distinguish right
from wrong.
For who is able to govern this vast people of
yours?”
The LORD was pleased that Solomon made
this request.
So God said to him:
“Because you have asked for this—
not for a long life for yourself,
nor for riches,
nor for the life of your enemies,
but for understanding so that you may know
what is right—
I do as you requested.
I give you a heart so wise and understanding
that there has never been anyone like you up
to now,
and after you there will come no one to
equal you.”
The Word of the Lord
Soy tu siervo y me
encuentro perdido en medio de este pueblo
tuyo, tan numeroso, que es imposible
contarlo.
que no me has pedido: tanta gloria y riqueza,
contigo”.

Responsorial Psalm/Salmo Responsorial
Psalm 119: 57, 72, 76-77, 127-128, 129-130
Salmo 118, 57 y 72. 76-77. 127-128. 129-130
R. (97a) Lord, I love your
commands. I have said, O LORD, that my part
is to keep your words.
The law of your mouth is to me more
precious
than thousands of gold and silver
pieces.
R. Lord, I love your commands.
Let your kindness comfort me
according to your promise to your
servants.
Let your compassion come to me that I
may live,
for your law is my delight.
R. Lord, I love your commands.
For I love your command
more than gold, however fine.
For in all your precepts I go forward;
every false way I hate.
R. Lord, I love your commands.
Wonderful are your decrees;
therefore I observe them.
The revelation of your words sheds
light,
giving understanding to the simple.
R. Lord, I love your commands.
R. (97a) Yo amo, Señor, tus
mandamientos.
mandamientos. Señor, que tu amor me consuele,
conforme a las promesas que me has
hecho.
Muéstrame tu ternura y viviré,
porque en tu ley he puesto mi
contento.
R. Yo amo, Señor, tus
mandamientos. Amo, Señor, tus mandamientos
más que el oro purísimo;
por eso tus preceptos son mi guía
y odio toda mentira. R.
R. Yo amo, Señor, tus
mandamientos. Tus preceptos, Señor, son admirables,
por eso yo los sigo.
La explicación de tu palabra
da luz y entendimiento a los sencillos.
R. Yo amo, Señor, tus
mandamientos.
“For I love your command more
than gold, however fine.”

Second Reading/ Segunda Lectura Romans 8: 28-30
Romanos 8, 28-30
Brothers and sisters:
We know that all things work for good
for those who love God,
who are called according to his
purpose.
For those he foreknew he also
predestined
to be conformed to the image of his
Son,
so that he might be the firstborn
among many brothers and sisters.
And those he predestined he also
called;
and those he called he also justified;
and those he justified he also glorified.
The Word of the Lord
salvador.
En efecto, a quienes conoce de
antemano, los predestina para que
reproduzcan en sí mismos la imagen
de su propio Hijo, a fin de que él sea el
primogénito entre muchos hermanos.
A quienes predestina, los llama; a
quienes llama, los justifica; y a quienes
justifica, los glorifica.

Gospel Acclamation/Aclamación antes del Evangelio
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Blessed are you, Father, Lord of
heaven and earth;
for you have revealed to little ones the
mysteries of the kingdom.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
R. Aleluya, aleluya.
Te doy gracias, Padre, Señor del cielo
y de la tierra,
porque has revelado los misterios del
Reino a la gente sencilla.
R. Aleluya.
Gospel/Evangelio Matthew 13: 44-52
Mateo 13, 44-46
Jesus said to his disciples:
“The kingdom of heaven is like a
treasure buried in a field,
which a person finds and hides again,
and out of joy goes and sells all that he
has and buys that field.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a
merchant
searching for fine pearls.
When he finds a pearl of great price,
he goes and sells all that he has and
buys it.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a
net thrown into the sea,
which collects fish of every kind.
When it is full they haul it ashore
and sit down to put what is good into
buckets.
What is bad they throw away.
Thus it will be at the end of the age.
The angels will go out and separate the
wicked from the righteous
and throw them into the fiery furnace,
where there will be wailing and
grinding of teeth.
En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus
discípulos: “El Reino de los cielos se
parece a un tesoro escondido en un
campo. El que lo encuentra lo vuelve a
esconder, y lleno de alegría, va y
vende cuanto tiene y compra aquel
campo.

“Do you understand all these things?”
They answered, “Yes.”
And he replied,
“Then every scribe who has been
instructed in the kingdom of heaven
is like the head of a household
who brings from his storeroom both
the new and the old.”
The Gospel of the Lord.
¿Han entendido todo esto?’’ Ellos le
contestaron: “Sí”. Entonces él les dijo:
“Por eso, todo escriba instruido en las
cosas del Reino de los cielos es
semejante al padre de familia, que va
sacando de su tesoro cosas nuevas y
cosas antiguas”.

Homily
Profession of Faith/Profesión de Fe I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit
was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under
Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord,
the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son
is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and
apostolic Church.
Creo en un solo
Dios, Padre todopoderoso,
engendrado, no creado,
de la misma naturaleza del Padre;
por quien todas las cosas fueron hechas;
que por nosotros los hombres,
y por nuestra salvación
descendió del cielo,
y por obra del Espíritu Santo
se encarnó en María La virgen,
y se hizo hombre;
y por nuestra causa fue crucificado
en tiempos de Poncio Pilato,
padeció y fue sepultado,
y resucitó al tercer día,
según las Escrituras,
y subió al cielo,
y está sentado a la derecha del Padre;
y de nuevo vendrá con gloria,
para juzgar a vivos y muertos,
y su reino no tendrá fin.
Creo en el Espíritu Santo,
Señor y dador de vida,
que procede del Padre y del Hijo
que con el Padre y el Hijo
recibe una misma adoración y gloria,
y que habló por los profetas.
