A RECORD TURNOUTThe region’s premier and most comprehensive trade event for Vietnam’s food and hospitality industry, Food&HotelVietnam2017 (FHV2017), concluded on an upbeat note on 27 April 2017. Spanning across 11,100 square meters of the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), FHV2017 welcomed 613 exhibitors from 38 countries & regions, including 20 international group pavilions and a total of 12,842 regional trade visitors under one roof, showcasing an impressive spread from the finest food ingredients and products, drinks and beverages, to food service
equipment, kitchen equipment, hotel amenities, and more.
“Osterberg International Company is an international supplier of fruit products catering to the Food Service and Catering Market, based in Denmark with a subsidiary established in Vietnam. We have participated in Food&HotelAsia in Singapore for the last few editions, but this was our first time at Food&HotelVietnam. We were very pleased with the outcomes as we have got to meet and forge relationships with many new potential customers, as well as to be able to generate more sales leads.

VIETNAM BARISTA COMPETITION 2017 (VBC2017) & VIETNAM LATTE ART COMPETITION 2017 (VLAC2017)
VIETNAM CULINARY CHALLENGE 2017(VNCC2017)
The competitions attracted 51 candidates who challenged with serving one beverage from all three categories of drinks including: espresso, milk beverage and signature beverage. VBC2017 is a professional playground for all Vietnamese Baristas to showcase their talents for being the best to represent Vietnam at Barista Super Duo Challenge 2018 which is held concurrently with Food&HotelAsia2018 in Singapore.
The competition successfully attracted 255 entries from 144 passionate chefs, especially those who from top notch restaurants and hotels around Vietnam. There are 4 talented chefs and 2 teams won the highest prizes:
• The Grand Champion: Chef Watcharapong Chareonwimonrak from Thailand Culinary Academy • The Vietnamese Cuisine Champion: Chef Tran Quoc Dat from Saigon Professional Chefs’Guild • The Hot Cooking Champion: Chef Sangthian Singkaew from Thailand Culinary Academy • Best Artist: Chef Vo Tien Ngo from The Grand Fourwings Convention Hotel Bangkok • The Best Culinary Establishment - Thailand Culinary Academy• The Champion of “Spices of Indochina Challenge” team competition - Thailand Culinary Academy
