Sacred Heart Catholic Church Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time –June 17, 2018 Reflection from the Pastor: Prayer is hard work. The Catechism talks about the “battle of prayer”, because we have to work against our own weaknesses and against the temptations of the evil one. Very wisely the Catechism speaks about how we do not complain about God “not hearing our prayers” when we praise Him or thank Him, but we demand immediate answers to our petitions. Is our image of God like a vending machine? The Catechism recommends trust in the providence of God, that He will give us what is truly good for us. I know that prayer is difficult; I too struggle with prayer. But, I have learned over the years that there is nothing sweeter in the Christian life than speaking with God frequently. Fr.

exigimos respuestas inmediatas a nuestras peticiones.

Pero, he
