Cuántas veces el sabor de un plato nos traslada de inmediato al destino donde lo degustamos? Muchas, son innumerables las ocasiones en las que, quizá, ante un plato de arroz nos acordamos de esa paella que nos tomamos un verano cualquiera en algún lugar de la costa valenciana.

La buena gastronomía es así, tiene la facilidad de evocarnos sensaciones de felicidad de forma instantánea y por eso, como promotores del destino turístico Comunitat Valenciana que somos, para el Consell es imprescindible trabajar por la consolidación del producto gastronómico como identidad cultural y como vía de proyección de nuestra imagen.

El pasado año, según los datos de la encuesta de la red Tourist Info, la gastronomía fue una de las seis principales motivaciones de la visita a nuestra tierra. Más del 26% de los encuestado indicaron que “el buen comer” era una de las actividades que les había traído hasta aquí.

Estos datos ponen de relieve el peso que tiene este producto en nuestra oferta turística y, por este motivo, desde la conselleria de Turisme no dudamos en apoyar iniciativas como Saborea CV 2011, un proyecto en el que el márketing turístico y la comercialización del producto gastronómico se alían de forma perfecta.

La guía que tienen en sus manos les va permitir descubrir una selección de 132 restaurantes de gran calidad para todos los bolsillos, templos donde la parada es obligatoria para disfrutar el arte del buen comer. Saboréenlos.

Has the flavour of a dish ever taken you straight to the place where you first tasted it? It happens all the time: think, for example, of the countless occasions in which, as we are facing a rice dish, we are reminded of that delicious paella we enjoyed in summer, somewhere along the Valencian seaside.

Good gastronomy is like that, it has the power to convey pleasant feelings instantly, and that is why, as promoters of the tourist destination “Comunitat Valenciana”, the Autonomous Government of the Valencian Community considers it essential to work for the consolidation of our gastronomic product, which represents

our cultural identity and projects our image in the world.

According to the survey carried out by the Tourist Info net, last year gastronomy was one of the 6 top reasons to visit our region. More than 26% of those polled said that “eating well” was one of the activities which had attracted them to our community.

These data underline the importance of this product within our tourist offer. Consequently, the Regional Ministry of Tourism consistently supports proposals such as Saborea CV 2011, a project where the marketing policies of the tourist and gastronomic sectors become perfect allies.

de la gastronomía y el ocio como elementos clave para la promoción turística de la Comunitat Valenciana se creó el pasado año el proyecto SABOREA Comunitat Valenciana, una iniciativa promovida por la Confederación Empresarial de Hostelería y Turismo de la Comunidad Valenciana (CONHOSTUR) en colaboración con la Conselleria de Turisme de la Generalitat Valenciana que nacía con el objetivo de impulsar y dar a conocer al turista la magnífica oferta gastronómica y recreativa de la Comunitat.

Desde su creación Saborea Comunitat Valenciana se ha consolidado como un escaparate que ofrece al turismo nacional e internacional una selección de productos creados para cada tipo y

perfil de visitante que tienen como principal atractivo la gastronomía valenciana y la oferta recreativa y lúdica. Es por ello que en el marco de Saborea Comunitat Valenciana nace ahora Saborea 20,11, una iniciativa que pone a disposición de los clientes y turistas de la Comunitat Valenciana una amplia red de establecimientos de restauración que ofrecen un menú atractivo y asequible bajo un mismo precio (20,11 €). Saborea 20,11 nace como una experiencia pionera en la oferta turística de la Comunitat Valenciana que coincidiendo con la llegada del 2011 permitirá que los 132 establecimientos que forman parte del proyecto mantengan ese precio durante todo el año ofreciendo así a los clientes y turistas la posibilidad de disfrutar de la mejor oferta culinaria valenciana a un precio muy competitivo.

What is 20.11 The Price of the Year?As a result of our being aware of

the importance of gastronomy and leisure for the touristic promotion in the Valencian Community, the project SABOREA was born last year. It was launched by the Business Confederation of Hotels, Restaurants and Tourism of the Valencia Community, in collaboration with the Consellería de Turismo de la Generalitat Valenciana (Regional Ministry of Tourism) in order to promote and present the tourist with the excellent gastronomy and leisure offer of the Community.

Since it was born, Tasting Valencian Community has developed as a shopwindow which offers national and international tourism a selection of products created for each visitor’s type

and profile, having as its main attractive Valencian gastronomy and leisure offer. That is the reason why, in the frame of Tasting Valencian Community, 20.11 The Price of the Year is now born, an initiative which displays a wide network of restaurants so that the customers and tourists of the Valencian Community can enjoy an attractive and reasonable set menu at a fixed price (20.11 €). 20.11 The Price of the Year emerges as a pioneering experience in the touristic offer of the Valencian Community which, when the year 2011 starts, will allow the 132 restaurants who take part in the project to keep that price all year long. Thus, the customers and tourists will be able to enjoy the best Valencian cuisine at a very competitive price.
