Webb Ellis Cup to visit Bury a s part of Rugby World Cup 2015 Trophy Tour On July 28 rugby’s greatest prize, the Webb Ellis Cup, will visit Bury as part of the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour. Launching on June 10, 100 days to go to the opening match, the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour will travel through Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Wales and England before arriving at Twickenham Stadium on September 18 ahead of the Opening Ceremony. As part of the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour, Bury will welcome the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour at The Rock, Bury. Amanda Brazendale, Bury event organiser, said: ‘The event is a great way of engaging with the general public, not just rugby fans and get them behind England for Rugby World Cup 2015.’ Mike Owen, Interim chief executive of Bury Council said "hosting the world cup trophy tour is a great honour for our borough and the council looks forward to working with Bury RUFC and the Rock to put on a great event to welcome the cup and to promote the sport of rugby union." The journey throughout the UK and Ireland aims to engage fans and give them the opportunity to build unforgettable memories as part of their own Rugby World Cup 2015 story. On July 28 rugby’s greatest prize, the Webb Ellis Cup, will visit Bury as part of the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour.

Launching on June 10, 100 days to go to the opening match, the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour will travel through Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Wales and England before arriving at Twickenham Stadium on September 18 ahead of the Opening Ceremony.
