What is the STaR Chart?

• School Technology and Readiness• A teacher tool for planning and self-assessing

aligned with the long range plan for technology.

The STaR Chart was developed with the four key areas of the Texas Long-

Range Plan for Technology

• Teaching and Learning• Educator Preparation and Development• Leadership, Administration, and Instructional

Support• Infrastructure for technology

Texas Teachers MUST:

• Complete the STaR Chart onl ine, and use the results annual ly to track their progress in integrati ng technology into c lassroom instructi on

Each area of the StaR Chart has four levels:

• Early Tech• Developing Tech• Advanced Tech• Target tech
