News
God, thank you for a new year. May every-one in our family be willing to begin anew with a clean slate. We know that you are always ready to forgive us. Help us to be
willing to forgive ourselves and to forgive one another.
As we begin a new year, remind us of our truest values and our deepest desires. Help us to live in the goodness that comes from doing what you want us to do. Help us to put aside anxiety about the future and the past, so that we might live in peace with
you now, one day at a time.
Janice Pazuchowski, Faith Formation, Youth Ministry
BY YOUR LOVE WE DO GREAT THINGS
Many thanks to the wonderful volunteers and staff members for their amazing work and dedication on our Holiday Food Baskets. On Thursday, December 17th, we distributed Christmas Baskets to 45 families, as well as at Thanksgiving. With your help, we generously provid-ed others in need well beyond expectations. This Stew-ardship was from the willingness to say yes. Everyone shared recognizing the gifts, skills and abilities God has given to each of us. Several new young adults helped in multiple areas, including assisting in church decorations with the leadership of seasoned volunteers. With appre-ciation, I would like to recognize them for all their hard work; Erin Boddington, Randy Bullis, Jenna Bullis, Kyle Burley, Adam Burley, Josh Burley, Sharon Buselmeir, Mary Cory, Eva Corey, Gary Ernat, Karen Ernat, Joyce Franzone, Barbara Frullam, Roxanne Gronkiewicz, Al Keown, Joe Maro, Shelly Maro,Nancy Nurse, Janice Pa-zachowski, Jeremy Russo, Amelia Shereda,George Thibodeau, Philip Thibodeau, Johnnie Walko, and Rob-in Walko. Also, I would like to thank Vince and Joe’s Fruit Market, Clinton Township and Nino Salvaggio’s Fruit Market, St. Clair Shores for the generous donations of produce and the students and families from our Faith Formation who baked Christmas Cookies. The many gifts to St. Pio’s Food Pantry has helped us touch the lives of many in need in our community. You are living the Gospel of God. Tina Bullis Christian Service Coordinator

PRAYER TO
Padre Pio
FOR HEALING
Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, obe-dient father, you loved the sick and infirm more than
yourself because in them you saw Jesus. In the name of God you performed miracles
of healing in body, soul and mind.
Your intercession with God healed the ills of past and present and strengthened peo-ple to respond with confidence to future challenges. Those who came to you re-
gained a sense of spiritual integrity as you rekindled hope in their lives, and encour-
aged them to renew the spirit in their hearts.
Through the intercession of Our Heavenly Mother, may we experience your powerful assistance and be healed in our bodily and spiritual needs. Gratefully give praise and
thanks to God for all His blessings.
Amen
Act of Spiritual
Communion My Jesus,
I believe that You are present
in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You
into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You
sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my
heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and
unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen
