The Holy Cross Congregation serving in the Diocese of Monterrey, Mexico will also receive funds from this collection.

Feb. 13-14First Sunday of LentThere are times in our lives when, like Jesus, we find ourselves alone and hungry in a wasteland. It is tempting when all is dry rock and rubble to put our faith in things that offer comfort and security. The Scriptures today invite us to put our trust and faith in God, the only one who can save us and give us life. We must reject the temptation to make “gods” of or to place our trust in material goods, power or control and rather to cling to our Lord who is our rock and refuge.

News from the Principal’s DeskIt was a relatively calm week after all of the excitement each

day during Catholic Schools Week. On Friday, our staff attended a retreat on personal prayer in our lives. Thank you to Deacon John Kerrigan for planning a beautifully spiritual day for us.

The next two weeks will be our final preparations for our ac-creditation visit that begins March 1st. We are looking forward to showing the team just how wonderful Santa Cruz Catholic School is!

Enrollment for the 2016-2017 school year has begun. The new tuition schedule is posted on our website. Tours can be arranged by calling the school. Next year we will have PreK-3 through 8th grade.

Con temas súper importantes como la Conversión y Vida Nueva en Cristo Jesús, una vida de Oración.
