TransportationIn Rural communities people walk, cycle and drive cars to get to work.Kids in rural communities take the bus to get to school.If some parents go to work in the city but live in the country they take a bus, boat or plane to get to work.

PEOPLE/OCCUPATIONSSome people have lived for generations and some have just moved their.Here are some jobs people in rural communities have farmer, miner ,teacher E.T.C.Some people move to a rural community because they enjoy the country.

ResourcesIn a rural community they use natural resources to survive.They get wood from forests, food from farms and fish from rivers , lakes and oceans.Most rural areas have electricity and phone service.

Cavendish P.E.I.In Cavendish their is about 270 people living in that area.The first people to live in Cavendish were aboriginal people called Mikmaq.In 1790 people from Scotland traveled to Cavendish to settle and farm.
