LOOK!

Pick a work in the galleries and take turns asking each other questions

• What do you see? Use words to describe every part of the artwork.

• What idea or action do you see? Why?

• What does it make you wonder?

• Compare and contrast two pieces of art located near each other in the galleries. How are they alike? How are they different?

PLAY! Gallery Games

• Art Hunt: See how many shapes, favorite colors, faces, or animals you can find.

• Eye Spy: Standing where you have a good gallery view, see if others can find something you describe by color, shape, or another detail.

• What’s Your Story? Use your imagination to tell a tale of what happened before and after what you see in the art. Describe actions, sounds, smells, or textures (how something feels) to make your story come to life.
