I am so glad that you have taken the time to visit this church, please make yourself at home.

I have been the Senior Pastor here since September 2008 and I am thrilled to be part of a vibrant, growing, family church, in the heart of Rugby. My wife Susan and I have been in the ministry for over thirty years and are as excited as ever today about how God wants to move in our local community. You will see that whilst our regular church activities cater for every age group, our one desire is to reach our community, especially those who do not (as yet) attend church.

When asked the question, ‘What is Church for?’ I have three answers:

Firstly, our number one priority is to love and worship the Lord Jesus with all our heart, soul and mind. That means we put great emphasis on worship and the teaching of scripture. Secondly, our love for God should lead us to be loving of our neighbours. This means priority given to the sharing of the truth of the gospel (evangelism) and to social action. Jesus said, ‘a new command I give you that you love one another’ which leads to: Thirdly, developing meaningful fellowship and care in the community of believers called the local church. We therefore encourage all of our members to attend a Small Group where relationships can be developed. Someone once said, ‘If you find a perfect church, don’t join it because you will spoil it.’ We are not a perfect church, but we are striving to give King Jesus his rightful place in our personal lives and our church community. And there’s room for you! We would be delighted if you joined us. May God bless you Pastor Barry Killick

WELCOME TO CHURCH

JESUS?Unlike any other man and any other religion’s founder, Jesus was alive before he was born and lives after he died! Jesus said that to see him was to see God, to know him was to know God, to recieve him was to recieve God, to love him was to love God and to reject him was to reject God. In the Bible, the Apostle Paul tells us that , ‘In Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.’ But instead of asserting his authority over humanity, he washed his followers feet and chose to take punishment for all mankind’s sin by dying on the cross. Why? To save the whole world from God’s judgment - if we turn from living life our own way and put Jesus in charge of our lives. the BIBLE?

The Bible is God’s manual for life. Everyone knows what happens when you try to build flat-pack furniture without looking at the maker’s instructions. So why try to run your life without following the creator’s instructions?

We believe the Bible because it’s the life-giving power of the Word of God which never changes; it’s the supreme revelation of God to the world; Jesus himself made it the basis of his teaching and personal conduct; the Bible alone reveals the way to eternal life and it’s all that we need to know in order to live a life that pleases God.

CHURCH?

PRAYER?

The Church is simply this - a group of people who have chosen to make Jesus the Lord of their lives. They meet regularly to worship their Lord; to learn from the Bible and encourage each other. In fact, the Bible describes the Church as like Christ’s body. We are to be his hands for healing, his feet to bring good news, his voice offering forgiveness and eternal life and his compassionate heart showing mercy to the oppressed and needy.

Prayer means talking to God. Bible believing Christians are convinced that God really does answer prayer; not always in the way that we would like , but if the Bible is true then God must answer prayer because of the many times he says he will do so.

If you would like someone to pray for you, we have a dedicated prayer team. You can either come to one of our Sunday services or book an appointment by phoning 01788 546712.

CHILDREN AND YOUTHWE GREATLY VALUE THE CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH. WE BELIEVE THAT IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THEY HAVE A PLACE WHERE THEY BELONG, WHERE THEY CAN MAKE FRIENDS AND BUILD THEIR CONFIDENCE IN A SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT.

WE BELIEVE CHILDREN’S AND YOUTH CLUBS ARE VITAL TO A GENERATION THAT IS BECOMING INCREASINGLY ISOLATED. IN EACH CLUB WE AIM TO GIVE THE CHILDREN AN UNDERSTANDING OF WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY CAN ACHIEVE IN A FUN AND EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT. WE ALSO AIM TO BE OPEN TO ANY QUESTIONS WE ARE ASKED ABOUT LIFE AND FAITH AND WE WILL JOURNEY TOGETHER TO FIND AN ANSWER THROUGH STORIES, DISCUSSIONS AND PLAY.

WITH GROUPS TO SUIT ALL AGES AT VARIOUS TIMES THROUGHOUT THE WEEK, THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON AT THE CONNECT CENTRE FOR EVERYONE! FROM CRAFT FOR THE KIDS, QUIZZES FOR THE TEENS AND BREAKFAST FOR THE MUMS - OUR DEDICATED TEAMS RUN EXCELLENT PROGRAMS TO SUIT YOU, SO WE HOPE YOU’LL COME ALONG AND TRY THEM OUT FOR YOURSELF!
