Dear Travel Agent, We have previously informed you that an action was filed in the Hungarian courts by Vnesheconombank (“VEB”), a secured lender to Malév, which was not allowing IATA to complete the refund agreement entered between IATA and Malév. Because of this court proceedings IATA cannot at this time move forward with the refund distributions. IATA will continue to dispute this matter in the attempt to persuade the court or VEB to permit the refunds agreement to be enforced and to distribute the refunds to the agents.
