PRODUCT SPECIFIC SAFETY WARNINGS

> Turn off and unplug your router before installing the Dust Right® Dust Bucket on your router table.

> Handle metal components with care during unpacking and assembly; edges could be sharp.

> Use the Dust Right® Dust Bucket only with a 4" dust collection system. Do NOT use with a portable wet/dry shop vacuum.

> Do NOT overtighten the self-tapping #8 x 3/8" Screws used to assemble your Dust Bucket, or you risk stripping the threads.

> Adjust the vent on the Vent Assembly (6) to regulate the suction as desired. This is especially relevant when routing blind grooves or dadoes; opening the vent will allow in outside air and prevent your workpiece from being sucked to the table by a powerful dust collection system.

> Periodically check the port opening on the inside of the Dust Bucket to make sure it hasn’t become clogged.

Assembly

1. Attach the Side with Opening (2) and the Side (3) to the Bottom (1) with #8 x 3/8" Screws (11). Note that the Side with Opening is attached with only the two outer screws at this point. Fig. 1.

2. From the inside face of the Back (5), insert the Cord Retainer Screw (12) in the hole next to the Cord Retainer, rotating the Cord Retainer out of the way if necessary, and thread on the Cord Retainer Wingnut (13). Fig. 2.

3. Determine which side you will want the Side with Opening (2) to be on. Position the assembly from Step 1 accordingly and then attach the Back (5) to the Bottom (1) with #8 x 3/8" Screws (11) in the two outer holes. Make sure that the flanges of the Back overlap the sides. Then attach the Back (5) to the Side with Opening (2) and the Side (3) with four #8 x 3/8" Screws (11) through each flange. Fig. 3.

6. Attach the Vent Assembly (6) to the desired opening with six #8 x 3/8" Screws (11). At the other opening, align the Dual Dust Port Gasket (8) and Dual Dust Port (7) with the opening and attach with six #8 x 3/8" Screws (11). Fig. 6.

7. To provide greater mounting flexibility, the Mounting Brackets (9) may be attached to the Side with Opening (2) and the Side (3) or to the Front Assembly (4) and Back (5). Decide which configuration will work best for your application and attach each Mounting Bracket with two #8 x 3/8" Screws (11). Fig. 6.

4. Attach the Front Assembly (4) to the Bottom (1) with four #8 x 3/8" Screws (11), and then to the Side with Opening (2) and the Side (3) with four #8 x 3/8" Screws (11) through each flange. Fig. 4.

5. Remove the backing on the adhesive face of the Mounting Bracket Dampeners (14 and 15) and install a Mounting Bracket Dampener on each Mounting Brackets (9 and 10), taking care to align the keyhole openings. Fig. 5.

The Vent Assembly (6) and the Dual Dust Port (7) may be installed at either opening location. Choose the mounting location for each that best suits your application.

If possible, remove the fence, router and plate from your router table and set the table upside down on a non-marring surface for easier installation of your Dust Bucket.

Installation

1. Center the assembled Dust Bucket on the plate opening on the underside of your router table. Make sure that you will have adequate clearance around your router and that you have oriented the Dual Port as desired.

2. Use the keyhole slots in the Mounting Brackets (9) to mark the mounting screw locations.

3. Drill stopped pilot holes for four #10 or #12 panhead screws (not included) of a length appropriate for the thickness of your tabletop. Install the screws partway, leaving enough space between the heads of the screws and the bottom of the tabletop to accommodate the thickness of the flanges and Mounting Bracket Dampeners (14 and 15) on the Mounting Brackets (9 and 10). 4. Fit the Dust Bucket onto the mounting screws, using the keyhole openings in the flanges of the Mounting Brackets (9 and 10). Slide the Dust Bucket until the screws are secure in the slots of the keyhole openings and then tighten the screws to secure the Dust Bucket in place. Fig. 8.

5. Return the router table to upright, and reinstall the router and plate.

6. Pivot the lever on the adjustable cord retainer open and feed the plug and power cord from your router through the opening. Close the retainer to hold the cord in place.

7. Reinstall the router fence. Attach a 21⁄2" hose from the dust port on your router fence to the smaller opening on the Dual Dust Port (7) and a 4" dust hose or the Dust Right® 4" Quick Change Handle (55027, sold separately) to the larger opening on the Dual Dust Port.

Important Reminders• Adjust the vent on the Vent Assembly (6) to regulate the suction as desired. This is especially relevant when routing blind grooves or dadoes; opening the vent will allow in outside air and prevent your workpiece from being sucked to the table by a powerful dust collection system.

• Periodically check the port opening on the inside of the Dust Bucket to make sure it hasn’t become clogged.

• If using the Dust Bucket with a router lift, periodically lubricate the lift components.
