Those who are voca1onally-trained, diploma holders, graduates and above comprise a mere 10 per cent of the overall workforce, while those who have completed 12 years of schooling comprise another 10 per cent.
NATIONAL POLICY ON SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Skill India campaign was launched with an aim to train over 40 crore (400 million)
people in India in different skills by 2022.
The reason behind the huge demand for Skilled Work force is a great demand from
industry in various sectors. To achieve these goals, India needs flexible educa1on and
training system that will provide the founda1on for learning, secondary and ter1ary
educa1on and to develop required competencies as means of livelihood. 3

We hence decided to establish a Skill Development Center to impart Industrial skills like 1. TIG / MIG Welding Operators - for Auto parts Industry 2. CNC Machine operators - for Auto / manufacturing industry 3. Automated Tailoring /sewing - for Garment exporters 4. Commercial Laundry - for Hotels / hospitals / dry cleaners The trainees will be from an underprivileged background who quit school in class 5th/ 8th or later. The training will be for 2 months a`er which a test will be conducted by a Govt Ins1tute of repute. On passing, the candidate will be given a diploma cer1ficate from the Govt.

OVERVIEW
We plan to train 6 batches of 120 trainees each, thereby training to 600/700 youth per annum and provide them employment in big industries which will ensure minimum wages along with statutory benefits like ESI, PF, Gratuity, Bonus etc. This way we will be able to touch 3000-4000 lives every year. In the process, we will make India self reliant for so many things currently being imported. The employers will be our own Industrialist members who have come forward and commiVed for this good cause. Therefore we have selected the voca1ons as per their requirement to ensure employability. Few of them who have already commiVed are Hero group, Lotus Herbals, Omax Auto, Sudhir Gensets, and LaundereVe. The project cost is around 1 crore and the running cost is about 40 lakhs per annum 6
