NATIONAL  POLICY  ON  SKILL  DEVELOPMENT
Skill  India  campaign  was  launched  with  an  aim  to  train  over  40  crore  (400  million)
people  in  India  in  different  skills  by  2022.
The  reason  behind  the  huge  demand  for  Skilled  Work  force   is  a  great  demand  from
industry  in  various  sectors.  To  achieve  these  goals,  India  needs  flexible  educa1on  and
training  system  that  will  provide  the  founda1on  for   learning,  secondary  and  ter1ary
educa1on  and  to  develop  required  competencies  as  means  of  livelihood.   3
