By the time you are reading this bulletin George and I together with granddaughter Codi will be pretty much just arriving in Tokyo. Our first day will be spent on a tour to Mt Fuji. A dream come true! Every time I see a photo of Mt Fuji I always say to myself I want to go there one day. Well that day has arrived. The following day we board the cruise ship for our 9 day ancient capitals cruise. By all accounts it will be a little warmer than Kalgoorlie is at present so we should be able to discard the winter woollies. There is no meeting next Monday night as we will be joining the Rotary Club of Boulder on Tuesday 1 July for their meeting. Boulder Club are hosting the Texan Exchange students for a few days. So next Tuesday will be a great opportunity to catch up with the Boulder Rotarians and to hear the Students’ presentation. The following weekend 5 & 6 July is KidsFest. We are still looking for a member to put up their hand to co ordinate the rotary volunteers for the two days. Please give this some consideration and let Gloria (Community Service Director) know so she can hand on information to you. Boulder Rotarians are going to be assisting as well. Last year was the inaugural event and was extremely successful. Volunteers for the event are going to ensure the success of the event as they will be coordinating the various activities throughout the two days. As a club we did agree to participate so check your diary and see if you can volunteer a few hours on each day. On 7 July our Guest Speaker will be Graham Thompson who will be bringing us up to date on planning for Diggers and Dealers 2015. A great event that sees over a 1000 movers and shakers in the mining industry converge on our City. On July 14 our Guest Speaker will be John Bowler who will tell us about life after politics. Cherie has been doing a lot of groundwork ready for our Discover the Round event Kalgoorlie Rotary Food Discovery. By the time I get back we should be ready to forge ahead with the planning as all the behind the scenes preliminary planning and detail will be pretty much under control. Changeover is coming up and will take place on Friday 25 July with a Christmas in July theme. Your invitation will have been emailed to you. Please advise by the RSVP date or you won't be included in the numbers for the night. Line from the GSE Team from Denmark was married recently. You will recall she talked about her wedding with us all and actually purchased the wedding rings in Kalgoorlie gold! Also Jeppe from the GSE Team (and his wife) welcomed their brand new baby into the world. I'm hoping that Cherie's computer problems ease up so she can download a couple of photos for you. Enjoy the rest of your week whilst you Engage Rotary, Change Lives. FROM PRESIDENT ESTHER ...

President Esther

Wasn't it great hearing from John Wibberley on Monday night? What experiences he has had! Amazing! How do you name drop without name dropping? John did it very well. We are extremely lucky to have him making the commitment to stay in our community.

By the time you are reading this bulletin George and I together wi th granddaughter Codi will be pretty much just arriving in Tokyo.

Volunteers for the event are going to ensure the success of the event as they will be coordinating the

various activities throughout the two days.
