In addition to the obvious challenge of creating a watertight, weatherproof finish, there are numerous other considerations that may affect product choice and the method of installation. For example, if the existing insulation needs upgrading, specified U-values will need to be achieved and the height of existing parapets and openings on the roof will also have to be effectively managed. Completing Projects SafelyEstablished in 1990, GRS directly employs over 70 operatives, including roofers, cladders, joiners and plumbers, giving our clients access to an unrivalled, multi-disciplined installation service.

Safety is also extremely important when carrying out roofing or cladding projects of any kind. The health and wellbeing of all individuals onsite is our number one priority and we take all necessary steps to achieve this. GRS has an outstanding health and safety record and holds numerous industry accreditations in this area.

Flexible Working SchedulesThe diverse nature of the projects we work on demands a flexible approach that minimises disruption to our clients. We understand that waterproofing activities may only be possible during certain times of the day, and our experienced Project Managers therefore ensure that all onsite work is carried out considerately and safely.

When working on schools and other educational establishments, we are able to organise deliveries and installation services outside of teaching hours or as required. However, in many instances, our safe, unintrusive working practices mean that we can carry out such projects safely and efficiently during school times.

We are also experienced in working in live working environments, some of which may be sensitive or particularly high risk. Where this is the case, our fully trained and badged operatives carry all of the necessary approvals and accreditations. In addition, all GRS employees that attend school locations carry enhanced DBS (CRB) checks and approvals.
